Remember Paul Bruce scoring free kicks at Wolves and Bury. Remember a good one for Mark Kennedy. Akos scored a few for us. Remember Ian Barraclough scoring one down the Loft one year when Pacquette had scored. In more recent years, Chair has scored a couple including one up at Sunnyland. It’s hard trying to remember the others. Feel like the Nigerian left back whose name I forget got one against Sunnyland as well. |  | | |

I’m surprised it’s as many as five.
Don’t know if they do that kicking speed thing any more, remember Lorimer timed at 90mph for a free kick goal, but I’d be interested to know where ours are.
Maybe it’s just how they’re taught now, noticed that whereas in years gone by, if you were defensively struggling, there’d always be a centre back who could launch into space, three quarters down the pitch that a CF would tussle for and half your team could get up the pitch. Not any more, even the likes of Mbengue squelch it about 30 yards max and it’s back at yer. |  | | |

It's shameful  . Our set pieces have been poor for years, yet - gasp - you can actually practise these things in training.
Perhaps it's down to snobbery or something, maybe Rangers are too posh to use set pieces as a source of goals  . |  |
