About the best defensive display you will ever see. First contacts, second balls, rebounds. We won the lot. Incredible effort.

Dickie will correctly get the plaudits today. And Barbet has been superb for several games now. But let’s give credit to Cameron who at 35 and having played pretty much every minute of every game, is using his undoubted experience to pull this team through some very tough games. He’s a great leader, motivator and has that back 3/5 focussed and well organised. Well done Geoff.

Flag
at 22:14 27 Nov 2018

Difficult to knock our fans that make the trip but did I see a flag behind the goal saying “we never win away”? I’m all for gallows humour but Is that meant to motivate the players? I mean WTF. Great point by the way. Eze best game for us. Amazing Freeman goal underlines his true value. And to those blaming Cameron for first goal, I think he was marking someone else, the scorer was not picked up at all and he made an attempt to get near him which made it look like he’d lost his man. Anyway Anyone who doubted whether current management could muster the same spirit from the players as last season (probably 99% of this board), you’ve got your answer these last two games.

Clive, I’m worried...
at 15:41 12 Nov 2018

...Worried that we’re not worthy. Worried that you’ll be snapped up very soon by a bigger fish. The Man Utd fanzine? Go on, you deserve a bigger audience. The $$$ must be very tempting. I didn’t think it was possible but that brentford match report scaled new heights. I hope they never find a cure for your addiction. I know you enjoyed that piece of writing but still, thanks as always. Great stuff!

Just back
at 22:28 28 Aug 2018

Early goals once again helped in a comfortable performance. BOS man of the match. Cousins ran the midfield. Not sure why Pav was playing centre mid and Chair in a wider position but can’t criticise with that win. Kakay was very good. Hamalainen unfortunately wasn’t and we need to hope Bidwell stays fit. Hall clearly some way off match fitness but good to see him out there and Baptiste very solid albeit against poor opposition. Ingram was solid with some decent saves and good punches from corners, kicked well. Kid that came on at the end showed some nice touches and looks exciting. Well done to Brizzle fans who came in numbers.

Errors
at 22:42 21 Aug 2018

Individual errors costing us dear at the moment. Tonight first goal Bidwell and Ingram, second Bidwell ball watching and lost Weiman, third Scowen. Need a slice of luck and to get our noses in front. Got to keep behind the team as we did for the most part tonight.

29 shots
at 22:45 13 Sep 2016

According to the BBC that's how many Newcastle had. Really? A shot every 3 mins. I was there and it was painful. Dire performance. No leadership on the pitch. No movement across the front line and no sense of creating chances. Yeni anonymous. New guys will take time to settle in. Only Chery looked decent. Newcastle will in all probability walk the league but manner of defeat was very worrying indeed.

tonight was jimmy's night
at 22:15 8 Mar 2016

he wants us to play a pressing game and we did that all over the pitch. Didn't let Derby settle. Polter led from the front and Derbys experienced defence will tell you he's a nightmare to play against, Several forced errors by defenders and keeper. Cherry buzzed around him. Defensively we were very sold. Workrate all round was outstanding especially from Junior. Impressive and looking at our general performance level over the last 6-7 games gives me great optimism. We have a manager with a clear plan and a team looking to implement it with genuine effort. Will we be able to perform like that against Brentford?

Who'd have thought it? A pretty average centre back when playing for us, probably thought of as past his mediocre best when sold to Palace. Not missed by any of our fans. Immense player for Palace now. Really pleased for him. A bit like our Clint making the absolute most of his ability.

Best transfer window ever
at 09:25 3 Feb 2015

No mercenaries. No panic buys. Clear message to Harry. I believe there are 3 teams worse than us and we have a chance. No doubt the players are putting the effort in but If we go down so be it. I hope the penny has dropped for TF and the tide has turned. Hopefully the start of a seismic culture change at the club

The Sir Les Transfer Window
at 21:27 29 Jan 2015

Let's not forget that Les is running this transfer window not Harry. He's running the football side. Will be interesting to see what type comes in. Mutch would not have been sold unless Les agreed he wasn't up to it here.

SWP to start against Arsenal?
at 21:04 22 Dec 2014

Been confirmed today that he's definitely not dead. He's featured in plenty of the clubs great pre-Xmas photos but I had hoped he'd been photoshopped in. However, he played in the friendly v Southend today (and apparently scored) so i expect Harry will strat him against Arse. Along with Ferdinand, Mutch, Nico & Traore.

Looking forward to Clive's take on yesterday but in the meantime...
at 22:04 6 Oct 2014

I'm only an occasional poster but an avid reader of this board. I believe in stability and long term planning. And when things don't go quite right I believe you can make a few tweaks but you stick to the plan. However...The problem with Harry is that at this stage of his career he can never be a long term plan. He's getting on in years and his general demeanour speaks louder than words. And if you listen to his words, he's clearly lost all the spark, energy and passion that once made him a great motivator and manager. He's become negative, defensive, from before the first whistle to after the final whistle. And it's clearly affecting the players. You don't need to be an expert in body language to see he's a spent force. Those players are just not being motivated by the group leading them. Arry, JJ and Bond look shot to me. No passion, no energy, no spark. Just excuses. This long term plan has to be torn up and rewritten. We have the players. They don't have a leader. Time for change.
