Caroline Lucas head of the green part has called for an all female cabinet to fight a no deal Brexit, she has even invited Nicola sturgeon who doesn’t even sit in the commons . I’m offended and outraged!!
favourite cheese mature Cheddar. FFS there is no such thing as the EPL
Hold on to something, Loftboy, I couldn't agree with you more. Lucas' suggestion is ill thought out, childish bulldh*t which sends all the wrong messages.

er… have you lot fully read the actual things she said, or are you just shouting at the headline?
there is logic in what she says... and it is quite specific. and it is only an opinion piece. It even says so at the top of the article. How dare she have an opinion.
If you don't believe me have a look at one of her smug smiles whilst holding a lizard picture in front of the screen.
I have met people, think they're referred to as 'woke blokes', who actually think she's good looking. Well you must be looking in the wrong place. Brighton probably.
The question was not if she is entitled to an opinion but what would happen if someone like Boris called for an all male cabinet. Wokes and soy boys would go into a twitter frenzy.

glad to see the misogyny doesn't get in the way of debating the actual issue. straight out of the Trump playbook.
what the hell does what she looks like have to do with ANYTHING?

I read what she said. The idea that men, as such, have failed and that women, as such, would succeed is misleading and unhelpful. It's said with very little regard for young men in this country, not all of whom are useless c**ts and a time of crisis in male mental health and an epidemic of suicide in young men.

Can someone please post that picture of the ERG - that bunch of entirely male, white, old men who are leading us back into the nineteenth century (while their hedge-fund chums clean up by shorting the crashing pound)?

One needs to be careful with these so, called reported comments.
Corbyn was once asked, due to a so, called recent increase in violence against women on tube trains would he endorse women-only carriages? His reply was that he would look at it.
Yet even in that article, they state he is just talking about it. What is not mentioned is that he was asked about it. At that point, he is put on the spot and he cannot win. If he says he won't consider it as it's silly, he looks sexist. If, as he did say he would look at it. They hammer him for being a loony leftie. So, really I don't believe whatever they say about the left anymore. They twist it all as we know.
Meanwhile, Boris can say he is a man of the people and get away with this time and again in the right-wing press, yet he went to Eton and we all know he does not give a damn about anyone but himself. And his only consistent position is lying to gain power and abuse it. Remind you of anyone? Boris == Blair
To prove this the papers are now saying the pound is in free fall due to Brexit and a possible Corbyn government. Yet Corbyn has not changed in being the leader of the opposition, Brexit has changed in going back a more favourable position than the actual event as the markets would see it, the only change is now Boris is PM. Yet this is Corbyn's fault there is a run on the pound? Clearly lies.
I don't like the Greens as I suspect when it comes to the crunch they will be like the Liberals and fail into the capitalist line like all the rest. But at least we should acknowledge we cannot trust what is reported about them or Labour as the press is 95% right-wing in this county and constantly lying at all levels.

Don't worry, the BBC and practically every living breathing celebrity on the TV more than balances that out.
Incidentally, is there a single comedian allowed on TV who isn't left wing these days? I Think Geoff Norcott is given fleeting appearances on the very occasional show but struggling to think of anyone else.

would be the same reaction to people going mad at her for saying it, some people would go mad at Boris if it was the other way, only real difference is Boris can make it happen as he is PM so would be seen as more outrageous just as if May had said she wanted all women whilst the leader of a party unlikely to get elected is not really going to hurt or affect anything.

She has also completely forgotten that Black and Asian women exist.
Classic Green wang ever since they abandoned all of their principles to chase Remain voters whilst suddenly advocating unrestrained capitalism.. One of the most ill advised political stunts of our time. Full on deranged nonsense.
People talk a lot about the negative effect of social media - one of the biggest consequences in the UK is a groups of centrist politicians hearing nothing but centrist commentators on twitter and in the Guardian and thinking their errant nonsense is popular.
Like, I don't really want to leave the EU, but this Government of National Unity effectively carrying out a coup is proper fantasist stuff. Are they out of their goddman minds?

The Green party is one of the most regressive parties when it comes to certain issues such as censorship. I would like to see new ideas in politics but progressive sounding parties are actually quite regressive in approach.

This basically. Lucas playing fantasy politics and managing to come up with a continuity-remain cabinet of MPs who've spent a career supporting precisely the kinds of neoliberal policies that gave us Brexit -- and runaway climate catastrophe -- in the first place is amazing stuff.
The Green Party have always had more than their fair share of supporters with bad hand-wavey half-cooked liberal politics, but it's been quite a startling transition for Lucas from a once credible left-critic of Labour to apparently joining the current liberal craze for sacrificing all critical thought at the alter of Remain.
Edit: All the men's rights activist stuff above is embarrassing though. Actual LOL at seeing someone say "soyboy" in the wild.

In my meaner moments I used to joke the Greens are really "Tories on bikes" (in my interactions with the party there seem to be a real split between more Euro style Green politics of social justice, with those who triumph ecology over and above people), but here we have the most prominent Green politician proposing to go into government with Justine bloody Greening. Yeah right on maaaaaan

Exactly.
I think this article will alienate the remaining Watermelons in the Greens, considering the obvious and deliberate snub of genuine and prominent shadow bench Labour Socialists such as Pidcock or LFW favourite Abbott.

Lee Hurst should have a prime time show to remind people he’s still a cnt.

This is the reason they have ‘co leaders’.
Ex John Major staffer Bartley is there to keep the Tory Greens happy and Sian Berry the watermelons.
