I have to admit not seen too much of him except he is strong, athletic and willing to put in a shift as the lone forward. Lack of technique will likely be the biggest criticism but for the lone forward role putting in the hard yards I think he'll do well but fancy he needs quality coming up to work off him. £2m is a big fee but usually from Scotland the wages are more sensible so as a package he is perhaps decent value? 6`2'' I think so adds to set piece defensive set up and with his work rate he's soon get forward from defence. If I had to compare him I'd say Jackson Irvine would be fair. Probably the most detailed report. I hadn't heard Barnsley had gone as high as £1.8m, did think the jump to £2m was a bit high but Livingston have created a good auction.
Says bid accepted, he won't play v Glaz'gee Rangers today but will be at the game and then travel South to talk terms with us tomorrow. Enough time then for him to stop off at Middlesborough, Sjoke or Barnsley on the way then.

You would hope so tbh. At first I thought he would be back up to Hughill as 1st choice lone striker but as the fee has crept up it is getting to be an expensive squad filler. I do think playing lone striker is a hard role if you don't get a regular run as you have too build up quite a few partnerships around the pitch, that said Hughill runs himself into the ground and is replaced around the 70 minute mark you could say he's getting good game time. Is Hughill looking likely as loan, I haven't been up to date last few days?

Personally would be avoiding players from that part of the world at all costs. Thought we had learned this regarding the absolute farce of losing Luongo for big parts of the season as he jetted around the world and took about 5 games back to reaclimatise. That said, if he does come I hope he does great.

Our experiences with Aussie players has possibly exponentially improved with every signing.
Zelic, McDermott, Ward, Luongo and now 'the Dyke'. I wonder whether he will avoid being the best 'tackler in the league, to appease us all by going down easily in the box?
