Makes sense. We have the stadia, the infrastructure and the country in Europe with the highest uptake of people wanting the vaccine. A lot of people would still have to travel through France though who have one of the lowest % of people wanting the vaccine.
Shut the doors and keep it to indigenous population only

I very much doubt you'd have fans from other countries allowed in
We've let people in from places that have a killer disease for the last 12 months, what makes you think they will change that?
I would imagine quarantine restrictions on people entering from outside the UK (including Uk citizens going on holiday) will remain in place for another 6-9 months after 21 June. They ought to at least. It might not stop Brits holidaying, but it’ll stop football fans travelling if they have to pay for two weeks accommodation.
I did think this might be coming. It makes sense and is almost certainly the most viable way to get the tournament played.
It’s due to kick off on the 11th, so you’d have 10 days of restricted crowds and then, in theory, full capacity. It could be the very definition of home tournament!
UEFA will need to decide quickly because there are vast amounts of tickets to reimburse and then resale in time, as well as all the operational stuff with grounds, teams, hotels, travel, etc.
Sod’s law England get knocked out in the group stages and Germany win the bloody thing.

true but you have the whole 2 weeks in a hotel thing now so i just can't see a change where we allow anyone in to do what they like for at least another year.
Only way they can do it is with a vaccine passport which i doubt is easy to do

Only if coming in from 1 of 33 countries, most of which are outside Europe. You are supposed to self-isolate if coming in from anywhere else, but the majority probably don't bother (I know many who haven't).
For the Euros they should block entry though, and let us have all the tickets ðŸ˜
They would be better to postpone it for another year and concentrate on finishing all domestic leagues instead. With the World Cup not being played until next winter, there will be nothing on next summer,so give everyone this summer off and start a normal season in August and hopefully finish in early May next year.
Interesting Dave, Scotland has similar vaccine uptake, shared border and lower infection rate/mortality. Have they excluded the games at Hampden as well?

I would have thought it would be shared with Scotland and Wales if possible but who knows.
Now, now, Beasty, this is not a case of all or nothing. Of course we need to break out, but not until we can be sure.
International football is pointless at the best of times these days...
Yeah, sorry was said a bit tongue in cheek really. Your point is valid in all honesty. It will be interesting to see what happens with the Euros in due course. Whatever happens, pretty pointless doing it behind closed doors (which is what will likely happen, so to stop fans travelling, if it's held all around Europe). Scrapping it this year could well regretfully be the best option
