The Olympic Gold Medal. I'm surprised Terry didn't step onto the podium to receive it himself!

He is a decent guy who lost his game when he turned pro way too early and climbed all the to No 1 in the world before slipping down again. He chased the big money changed clubs and instructors but is back with his man Foley now . If he gets to 10 or 11 under today he will be hard to catch IMO so hopefully he can. I will forgive him for that picture if he supported Chelsea all his life that makes him like the rest of us dedicated to the cause | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Having watched him for hours last night and cheered him on I am going to forget I ever saw that picture. I have to say that I also enjoyed listening to Butch Harmon commenting with unbridled joy every time Bryson screwed up another shot and then ended up carding 5 or 6 over or whatever it was he ended up at the end of his round. No love lost there I would wager.

Shane Lowry gives me confidence that excess timber is not in itself a barrier to being able to see and hit a golf ball!!!

You're a better man than me, Bannerman! Now that I know he supports the Racists I will be willing his ball towards the water in each of what I hope is 200+ shots today.

Nice to see he still enjoys the good life. Who need to go to the gym eh? It's now become clear to me why CT Pan was at 200-1

As an aside this happens at most professional tournaments. In fact, many moons ago now, a 'gang' made a fortune from knowing that. It did involve some 'duplicity' though. According to reports the 'punter' used to go into the shop and ask for odds on all sorts of weird events, like Elvis reappearing, Aliens being found, his son winning the world cup, that sort of thing. Then almost as a throw away line, asked for odds for a hole in one happening at whatever golf tournament was upcoming. In the days before the internet and countless events being priced up in advance, the poor old manager of the shop used to offer a silly price just to get the 'weirdo' out of the shop! Hey presto the hole in one happened and the gang won thousands!

170 yards with a 9 iron! They play a different game to the rest of us, that’d be at least a 5 iron for me!

I have a mate who is 6'5 and has shoulders like Bryson. He only has irons in his bag as he has never needed drivers/woods. "Dave what are you using off this tee it's a 183 yard Par 3?" "My pitching wedge mate"
