Comfortable and easy on the eye, but not a lot happening. I can see why they gave France and Germany a hard time but they don’t do much with the ball.

Big question from the first half, does Kleinheisler look more like Ben Stokes or Andy Gregory?

Doing okay so far. Just need to start creating some more chances. Bit difficult when the other team are happy to sit back. Just need to be patient. Some sh*thousery going on already.
Sounds like one of their fans have hijacked the PA system, thoroughly irritating.
Millwall would have been impressed with the reception taking the knee got too...

Why do we need 2 defensive midfielders when we know we’ll have 70-75% of possession?
And why Mason Mount?

The plan seems to be not to lose, rather than go for the win, like it or not.

That said, though there’s some early season scrappiness and two cautious teams, there’s a lot of pace in the game. I’ve seen worse.

Not as good as watching the Rangers is it?

It’s just frustrating as England always seem a fraction away from a team (taking a few more risks in the selection and the on-field decision making) that could absolutely destroy the opposition.

It took Germany 41 minutes to go a goal up in Lichtenstein. There’s always someone worse off.

When did Mike from Breaking Bad get the Hungary managers job?

Mason Mount. The f*cking invisible man again tonight.

Why are we playing in the colours of those who must not be named?

How many times have we scored that goal recently?

Nice goal, but would never have guessed Raheem was such a Steffi Graf fan.

At least Kane has a good knack of scoring - I was just telling my daughter how I’d have Lineker, Ferdinand or Shearer over him every day of the week 😆

It was Steffie Gregg, a friend of his who died a few days ago.

I see he got pelted with cups and bottles yet when Kane scored nothing of the sort...

Love how Rice pretended to drink from one of the cups as he came over to celebrate!

Rice and Phillips provide the platform for this second half performance. Very impressive against a good Hungary side.

Best England team for 50 years. Making easy work of a team that held France and Germany.

Boooooooo, 2-0 Germany, 77 minutes. 27 shots to 1!

Nothing wrong with the performance, especially this early in the season. Comfortable, kept the ball, probing patiently and knowing that, like QPR, if the break doesn't come early it'll come when Hungary tire from chasing shadows and being moved side to side all game.

A thoroughly professional job from the best and most likeable England team we've had for a generation. Hungary horrible btw - toxic crowd and atmosphere.

Spain lost in Sweden, Italy drawing at home in injury time with Bulgaria.

Armenia top of Germany’s group.

Good performance only ruined by the racism.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Never mind the result, the sight of hundreds of neo-nazi blackshirts was more a little disturbing, probably encouraged by the openly racist Hungarian regime.
