With Halloween Coming up, I thought of this clip From Stand Alone Production
'Halloween 3', nothing to do with the rest of the franchise.

Magic.

Also 'Phantasm'was a cracker ... scared the shit out of me when i was 13.

cronenbergs 'The brood' was another.

more recently, i found 'The Banshee Chapter' unnerving'. Lsd experimentation, Cold war Number stations, Synapse distortion....

Hostel. Quite disturbing.
Last House On The Left - the original.
Texas Chain Saw Massacre - the original.
Evil Dead - was horrified by this when a teenager but it's bit campy now.
The Exorcist - gave me nightmares for a month when I first saw it as a teenager. Couldn't watch it again for 20 years but now I'm OK with it.
Halloween 🎃 - the original. The daddy of all slasher movies.

Not really horror but lots of tension and a great film.

Not films, but the haunting of Bly Manor and the Haunting of Hill house on Netflix are both very good.

Just finished Midnight Mass on Netflix which is by the same people behind Hill House and Bly Manor.

Takes a while to get going but well worth the wait!

I'd label this horror. Similar tone to The Wicker Man.
Great UK film.
We Need To Talk About Kevin is another dark and uncomfortable watch.

Talking of slasher movies I watched the original Nightmare on Elm Street last night. Ironically I fell asleep halfway through.. lol. I'll watch the rest tonight.

Oh and don't forget the Far East, nasty buggers that they are;

They do like a good horror in that part of the world. I remember seeing this in a cinema in Bangkok

Think the priest delivered a great performance in that. His sermons were brilliant

You can't do Far East and not include Odishon.
