That is unbelievable. I can remember it all (but can't recall yesterday's shopping list). A grey, damp May day, that American marching band. Abide With Me and the National Anthem being extra emotional because it was 'in effect' a War Cup Final. Peter Hucker. Terry Fenwick. 'We Shall Not Be Moved'. A proud day for our club.

This. Didn't realise at the time. Because I was going mental. But watching the highlights Fenwicks face as he scored was priceless. Will never forget that
Indeed, sitting on my Land Rover in Dar Es Salaam airport car park, waiting for a colleague and listening to BBC World Service. Locals looking at me strangely trying to translate URRRS!! into Swahili. Crikey I must be quite old now!

Just dawned on me that anyone born after early- mid-80s probably hasn't got a clue what we are talking about.
But as amazing as it seems, QPR did manage to get to the 1982 FA Cup Final.
As difficult as it is to believe, we overcame five (yes, 5) opponents at the various stages of the knockout rounds. This requires you to comprehend that two draws aside, QPR (yes the lot who play in blue and white out of Loftus Road) won 5 matches in the cup and got to the final.
Check Google if you don't believe me!
