Yonks ago, Hammersmith council had free summer gigs in Ravenscourt Park which I always attended.
One night they had Alexis Korner’s Free At Last. They had an organ player which I'd swear was Reg Dwight but Wiki does not agree.
The Times today had his top 25 songs but didn't include my fav, All Quiet On The Western Front, which we Rs fans appropriated as All Quiet On The Western Avenue.

A propos of not a lot….a cafe where we used to have our breakfast had a jukebox which had Benny and the Jets. On the selection card it was printed as Benny End the Jet.
Whenever anyone played it my mate would jump to his feet and yell “Benny End The Jet”

Thought he absolutely smashed it the voice is not quite what it once was but the music and the crowd made up the difference and unlike Sir Paul last year he got the idea of a Festival play the f******g hits not the third track from my latest album |
