Eustace 21:52 - Apr 2 with 5851 views | andrew1302 | What a manager he appears to be. Another QPR mess up.And I guess there would be a real irony if Derby stayed up and we went down. Lose against Cardiff and we are in big trouble. Win and we should be okay. Having been at Stoke I have to say I am worried. Players who don't care on the pitch and those who do care injured.

Eustace on 09:33 - Apr 3 by Wegerles_Stairs | It shows what an appalling season this is in reality when we're basically around the same points tally as all three promoted teams. Zero progress. Nourry has a lot to answer for - I initially thought he was a refreshing change from the comfortable stasis of Hoos but the more you hear on here about what's been going on behind the scenes, the more he looks like just another bullshitter pulling the wool over the clueless owners' eyes. |
Not saying we're not shit, and appreciate this faux positivity is probably irritating, but we still have 15% of the season to go.

Eustace on 22:00 - Apr 2 by GaryHaddock | I said it before, I really think I’m looking at a different table. We won’t, but I genuinely think we can afford to lose all our remaining games. Look at who’s playing who in the run in. While I know this is QPR, and this is the Champiknship, they can’t all win. In Marti We (I) Trust. |
we are 5 points clear of 22nd, who we play on saturday. if we lose, thats a 2 point deficit. if we then also lose to oxford next week, theyre at least level us we need at least 2 combined points against cardiff and oxford, b/c after that, some of our remaining fixtures are pretty tough (v Bristol, at Preston, v Burnley, at Sunderland) and the pressure is going to really ramp up

if we lose, it's a 2 point deficit to Cardiff, but there are 6 teams between us and them, so that doesn't mean we will be 2 points above the relegation zone unless they all pick up points.

This time last year I was losing sleep over it all. I could barely watch the matches because I was so tense. The outpouring of relief and celebration after the Leicester, Birmingham, Leeds games was amazing. And things like Begovic's error at Plymouth felt devastating, and I was so so angry. My feeling at that point was if we could just get through that, stay up, we'd be off to the races. Great manager, more FFP headroom, overspend rolling out, better TV deal, full pre-season, no Ainsworth start to hamstring us. I was really looking forward to this season. And then.. meh. Turns out we're sht again. Badly run club. Dreadful recruitment again. Manager on his last legs. A 27 year old CEO/DOF who's never been a CEO or DOF before and it shows. I just don't see it getting a lot better now whatever happens. What's the best case? We stay up, Cifuentes likely leaves, Christian and the gang get their laptops out and furnish us with another collection of Madsen and Celar types? We'll only be here again this time next year. May as well go and do a few new grounds.

id imagine its pretty hard for him to be able get players up for games when most prob wont here next season and some who will be here who arent upto the job . some have already been phoming it in for the last weeks some will never be the right sort of player for what we need his hands are pretty much tied . my self im very worried about the quality of the new player likely to be brought in during the summer by nourry. who dosnt seem to fancy young up an coming english players .

Yeah I've kind of reached that stage too. I don't think we'll go down this season; but even if we don't, unless our summer recruitment is largely excellent (ha), then we probably go down next season.

Well, quite, but there's always hope things might actually go right? We stay up, Nourry gets sorted out by the board and they back Marti ahead of him, Spurs buy Eze for £100m, whoever replaces Nourry actually signs some good players, we resign Cook and Dunne, Chair gets fit and firing again, Kolli turns out to be a genius, Morgan has an amazing second season and we fly up the league. Maybe.

Next season does look an accident waiting to happen with a much stronger league on paper but if we do go down this year for me it will feel the worst of all the relegations I've seen. To come into a season with such hope and optimism, to be just outside the playoffs points wise in January to relegated in May would be a tough one to get over.

I certainly don't want us to ever go down from any division we're in but I'm at a point in my life where I think to myself "how will it affect me in terms of my finances, my job, my family, my life etc if the club gets relegated?" In short.... nothing. It will have no detrimental affect to my life whatsoever, the cost of the going to a game in the Championship will probably be pretty much the same as in L1. Ticket price may change slightly but petrol/train fares, food & drink etc won't as that is outside of the clubs control. Yet we all invest (which ultimately what club owners rely on) massive amounts of exhaustive emotion to keep on following the club. I'm not saying we shouldn't care, of course we should, but I do worry about people at times.

If we crash and burn from here forward and go down it will be one of the worst ever QPR implosions of all time IMO. Falling down the table after the Coventry loss has been pretty sickening but there is still an overriding feeling we will pull out a few wins and other results will go our way to keep us up. However last Saturday has been a real eye opener and if we do not find at least a draw Saturday the wheels could really fall off . I strongly believe the home crowd, the embarrasing display at Stoke and Marti raging at the threadbare squad will give them the push to win here

yes, but some of them will invariably pick up points over the next 2 fixtures, and some definitely will (eg, swansea playing derby this weekend) if we lose the next 2 matches, we are basically in a relegation fight

about that 27 yr old CEO/DOF funny, i seem to recall him doing a kings speech and making himself very publicly available when we had a very good run between end of november and end of january has anyone seem him recently? is he another richard dobson who only comes out of hiding when qpr gets a result? in general, though- i passed that point of not caring years ago: 12 18 16 19 13 9 11 20 18 Those are our league positions over the last 10 years and we're 15th now and downwardly trending. I still go, but its really hard to get excited about another bottom half of the table qpr hull fixture -whereas at least 5 years ago, i could vividly remember each game, goal, flash points, etc, there are so many matches that just blur together. theres the odd jimmy dunne birmingham match, leeds 4-0, etc, but its getting hard to distinguish some of these repetitive fixtures. i have almost no recollection of our 0-0 with burnley, our 2-0 loss to blackburn, etc which were only earlier this season

I allowed myself to dream in the summer that we might actually do something this season and look to progress but as usual we've QPR'd ourselves and I'm miserable again . Just don't see us ever getting any out of this cycle and frankly I'm sick of it . I'm 42 and I reckon we've been crap for close to 25/30 years that I've been going and seen non entity's like Brighton , Fulham , Brentford and Bournemouth overtake us and thrive in the league above . Genuinely dreading the game on Saturday and tempted to just stay in the pub
