Eustace 21:52 - Apr 2 with 6679 views | andrew1302 | What a manager he appears to be. Another QPR mess up.And I guess there would be a real irony if Derby stayed up and we went down. Lose against Cardiff and we are in big trouble. Win and we should be okay. Having been at Stoke I have to say I am worried. Players who don't care on the pitch and those who do care injured.

Eustace on 10:56 - Apr 3 by Northernr | I'm not sure if it's denial, or I just don't see it happening, and I'll start panicking as it draws closer but I'm struggling to care too much about whatever's about to happen. This time last year I was losing sleep over it all. I could barely watch the matches because I was so tense. The outpouring of relief and celebration after the Leicester, Birmingham, Leeds games was amazing. And things like Begovic's error at Plymouth felt devastating, and I was so so angry. My feeling at that point was if we could just get through that, stay up, we'd be off to the races. Great manager, more FFP headroom, overspend rolling out, better TV deal, full pre-season, no Ainsworth start to hamstring us. I was really looking forward to this season. And then.. meh. Turns out we're sht again. Badly run club. Dreadful recruitment again. Manager on his last legs. A 27 year old CEO/DOF who's never been a CEO or DOF before and it shows. I just don't see it getting a lot better now whatever happens. What's the best case? We stay up, Cifuentes likely leaves, Christian and the gang get their laptops out and furnish us with another collection of Madsen and Celar types? We'll only be here again this time next year. May as well go and do a few new grounds.

We have been circling the drain for a while , if we carry on the way we are it's inevitable will we go down. I can't really see a way we can improve, as for going up no chance . Grieves me to say this by the way.

It’s really sad to hear someone who puts their heart and soul into following our club feeling so low. Sorry to say I empathise completely and as someone who has followed the Rs for 50 years now, I’ve never felt so detached and ambivalent about our future. Just seems we are on some weird roundabout that we can be never get off of. We should be called Groundhog Day FC

Ah, that old chestnut. You're a fine one to talk about wetting pants. BTW that's not the table, those are current relegation odds. None of that lends weight to your assertion that we can afford to lose all 7 of our remaining games.

Eustace on 12:35 - Apr 3 by CLAREMAN1995 | If we crash and burn from here forward and go down it will be one of the worst ever QPR implosions of all time IMO. Falling down the table after the Coventry loss has been pretty sickening but there is still an overriding feeling we will pull out a few wins and other results will go our way to keep us up. However last Saturday has been a real eye opener and if we do not find at least a draw Saturday the wheels could really fall off . I strongly believe the home crowd, the embarrasing display at Stoke and Marti raging at the threadbare squad will give them the push to win here |
I hope you are right we can beat Cardiff. I notice they have drawn away to Middlesbrough, West Brom, Coventry and Stoke. We have recently played at those venues and lost the lot so we may find them difficult to break down with our "attacking prowess" using that term in it's loosest sense.

Ok Benny the Balllache. We won’t know until the end of the season I suppose. Let see if anyone breaches our points total + GD.

Whatever, Manilow. Our current points tally is 45 but it's impossible to determine GD unless we actually do go on to lose all 7 remaining games (which I'm not expecting us to). [Post edited 4 Apr 0:45]

Is that much different to Rangers going through the leagues due to Jim Gregory's money? I doubt that any club in the second/third divisions came close to matching our investment/salaries in his time as owner. And it certainly included investment, rather than just spending money on players! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Whatever Gregory's crimes might have been, I doubt they are in any way comparable to those of Fayed and Abramovich! I'd rather be where we are than a Fulham or Scum fan with their respective legacies.

Sorry, I didn't intend to compare Jim Gregory to the crimes committed by those two. Just to the use of money to propel a club upwards as that was what was being aimed at Fulham. The Pensioners weren't mentioned in the post I replied to. [Post edited 4 Apr 16:26]
