Despite that, I do believe we will win comfortably, three nil, perhaps. But if its a loss, the natives will certainly be getting restless and a happy new year, it won't be.

A mate said to me after the game that it was the worst 3-0 win he'd ever seen. It's hard to disagree. But, given all the extenuating circumstances - 4th game in 9 days, 4 injuries, dreadful opposition, a horrible surface - we happily take the three points.
Kolli provided some cheer though. His 'shoot on sight' approach is perhaps something Burrell and Kone don't tend to do and is a useful addition to the strike force. It certainly was yesterday and I'm delighted for him. |  | | |

Agree with many on here that it wasn't exactly a convincing performance - like two bald men fighting over a comb to steal someone else's gag. Up until the second I was fully expecting a Wednesday equalizer and a subsequent meltdown of the fanbase, me included.
Re: Kolli, I get that he gave the ball away a couple of times and had a couple of half chances before scoring, but the one he hit on the turn in the box that ended up in the upper loft I actually applauded. He had no time or space but instinctively managed to turn and shoot - the execution was slightly off but on another day that at least troubles the keeper out of nothing. I like his energy and his two goals were great to see - proper strikers finishes. With Burrell injured it's going to be interesting to see what he can do alongside Kone (assuming Kone stays fit and in the side). Good to see Kolli back from the wilderness |  |

Yes, having a hungry young striker whose first thought is to get a shot away is no bad thing - especially when he's capable of striking it as well as he did for that first goal, and especially within the context of a run of games where we've averaged something like 1.5 shots on target per game. Had no time to give my usual kneejerk reaction to the game after yesterday and in hindsight it was probably a good thing.
Walked away from LR yesterday obviously happy with the 3 points but scratching my head about such a strange atmosphere, and such a strange performance against an understandably terrible opponent on an absolute disgrace of a pitch .
No doubt in my mind the pitch is impacting on injuries although Burrells could well be overuse.
But I’ll be stunned if there isn’t an emergency meeting this morning about how on Earth our pitch has declined since December 20th.
A lot of people online apparently saying the old groundsman had just been sacked. Not true . He left a couple of years ago now .
But ultimately it was about as bad a football match as you could imagine which in a way serves Sky right . The biggest thing to take from was we now can’t go to West Ham with our strongest team . Whether we would have anyway is another argument but that’s now off the table anyway.
Midway through that second half I just got the sense that some of our players didn’t fancy it one bit and it annoyed me . However , we won , convincingly in the end .
If we had gone for them like we did Leicester then we could have had an absolute hatful and they would have folded badly but they grew in confidence the more we f*cked about .
Pleased for Kolli. And pleased for Sam Field too. The ideal game for him to come on and put out fires with somewhat ease. |  | | |

We've won, but you'd do well not to win against that level of opponent, and at what cost? We've got eight games in January, an FA Cup tie next week we wanted them to have a good swing at, what is left of our team mentally and physically after this Christmas period? I'd bet the traffic on here is lighter when we win and a lot heavier when we lose as you have all & sundry talking about the starting XI, the tactics, the subs, the individual players, the manager and so on. Things that get talked about much less when we've won because we've won.
We could have the right starting XI, the right tactics, the right subs and so on and somehow not win and it's all-out mayhem on here.
Yet you could have the wrong starting XI, the wrong tactics, the wrong subs and so on and somehow manage to win but that's OK, because that is what is wanted. |  | | |

I was there and it was not an enjoyable watch, but have to be happy with a 3-0 win to get back on track and improve the goal difference. Also pleased that Kolli scored to very good goals, but up until he did, he wasn't having the best of games as a striker (although did his defensive duties at corners well.
Obviously the injury to Burrell is a big concern, hopefully it isn't going to keep him out for long.
I think with his injury and Frey on the way out QPR will probably need another striker, even if on loan. | | | |

Re Morgan, he and Field seem to have become utility players, both having now played as CM, FB, and up front. Bit of a double edged sword, in that he's getting game time but 'm not sure that's great for his development and establishing himself as a first team player? |

I was getting strong flashbacks to that disastrous Sunday four years ago when we lost 3-1 to the bottom team after cruising into the lead and looking like we’d get a load more.
