I always liked Mick Harford in his pomp, gave Alan McDonald some of his toughest tests. Would have loved him playing for us.

Peter Beardsley...like a mini-me of Keegan with the bonus of that gap in his front teeth.

Another for Le Tissier - On his day, unplayable, even when he looked tubby.
Beardsley, Waddle, and Gazza - I know easy choices, but I never saw them play badly against us.
Steve Nicol, Dennis Irwin - solid types, who always stood out among their more famous teammates.
Micky Hazard and Ray Houghton - two blokes who were very close to joining the Rangers. Imagine the latter in 'that' game. |  |

John Barnes - feels like the ultimate "one that got away" and always seemed to tear us a new one.
Alan Shearer - I love watching good strikers, more for what they're doing without the ball than with it and he was one of the best - a complete #9

True, but for me it extends to great players who always did it. We've seen plenty blessed with skills who might be inconsistent or who clearly looked like the PE teacher didn't accept their note from mum, and made them play.

True but I'm thinking before that. For example, the first time we played ManU in the 68/69 season they beat us 3-1 at LR with Best scoring twice. He was Utd's leading scorer that season with 19.

Only based on one game, but I thought Gary Cahill was a cut above playing for Bournemouth against us at Christmas 3 (4?) years ago. He took a load of stick from the crowd as you might expect being ex Chelsea, but he rode above it all and gave a masterclass in how to play the sweeper role in a flat back 4. I had to begrudgingly respect his performance in a 1-0 win for them (Solanki scored to add t0 the Chelsea connection) |  |

Have called my Brompton bicycle Bazer after the Sheffield Wednesday legend , have been away many times at Hillsborough to see him play against us as well at Loftus road , always plays well , keeps it simple but effective, an iconic EFL player and a great servant for his club , could have jumped ship this season but didn’t, my respect only increased for him , would have loved him to play for us , won’t see the likes of him in football that often now , won’t be getting any stick from me just respect along with cheering our players on , my children do rinse me about my bicycle being called Bazer but even they appreciate how good he is | | | |

I remember applauding opponents goals, if outstanding etc, used to be reasonably common, and like clapping opposition keepers seems to have reduced or stopped mostly. | |

- any former QPR player that potentially will score against us
