QPR thrashed, Boro run riot, night follows day, bear seen heading for wood on 21:18 - Mar 9 by NorthantsHoop

Great report Clive, could not make the game yesterday, so had to watch on Sky. I actually got the feeling that the Sky commentators actually felt sorry that QPR a great club with history were so poor.

Yes before the game Lee Hendrie stated he felt sorry for QPR with the list of injuries so he knew what was coming. That is two games in quick succession where it has been a non competitive game from us for the neutral observer watching on Sky.

I believe I have been one of the complainers about us for many years so perhaps a few more people will start to understand where I have been coming from. We ran aground years ago and are going nowhere. I did say in the Southampton report comments that we should consider disbanding as a football club and try a different sport. A Middlesbrough fan online commented that he thought we were a rugby team as we kept kicking the ball into touch. So maybe we should take up rugby we should be good at kicking the ball over the bar for 3 points. 11-2 to Boro in our last three meetings now, never mind the 11-0 in our last three games.

Only a matter of time before Norwich and Charlton move above us. I hear tales Charlton are poor but they have managed 12 clean sheets against our 9 and have a good chance of finishing above us as we appear to have given up on this season.

I hate to say but amongst the carnage of our football club right now that is a brilliant piece of writing . It’s a shame it’s about such mismanagement, such incompetence and frankly such conmen who only have conned everybody involved.
So much to agree with in that piece. So much to make me angry ….that list of staff!!!!
My god.

And the dormant, passive fanbase still happy to bumble along accepting this is us. This is how it is .
Still reading on this message board this evening that it’s all a bit of an over reaction etc .
It’s bonkers .
It’s not just about Sunday’s humiliation.
It’s not just about our physical condition currently .
It’s not just about the absolute facade a PR team has sold to a fan base that Johnathan Varane is our next big ‘sell’. Remember we signed Varane because according to the ‘data’, he was the closest player match in Europe to ….wait for it …Isaac Hayden . They are now stinking the place out together in the same midfield !
That Sam Field though . He’s garbage isn’t he !?!?
The PR machine in full affect .

It’s about the last 30 years .
It’s about the army of crooks, liars and incompetent conmen employed to run our football club over generations.
It’s about being lied to as fans , constantly , about injuries, contracts, ticket sales, player availability, players going awol, data , statistics and on and on and on .
It’s about our beloved football club, all of us , barely caring about results and seeming to concentrate on giving youngsters games . It’s important of course but that paragraph in Clive’s piece following JS post match statement is so damning.

They have lost site that ultimately , we want to win football matches . We don’t expect to, but we want to win.
According to Stephan we are sacking it all off .
4-0 up against Leicester not a sign of a youngster coming on .
Gettting torn asunder by Boro…yeah we’ll give Tylon Smith a league debut. Out of position.
Another player crushed in 5 minutes of game time he shouldn’t have been
introduced too
Stinks of Plymouth away .
Stinks of Briatore calling down to the bench .
It all Stinks . Years and years of it .

We can’t be blamed for losing some patience . Can we?

Maybe they're watching something better on the other channel?

It's a dual screen with LinkedIn Jobs and a re-run of the 4 year plan.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

That's a cracking summary Clive, thanks.

The list of employees is frightening, particularly as we appear to be doing the exact opposite of what they're employed to do. Any normal organisation losing money would have a close look at value v cost and trim the numbers accordingly.

Boro were very good but had another couple of gears if they'd needed them.

QPR'd again.

Crying out for a player in midfield who will work his nuts off. Someone like Sam Field .
Still he’s busy at the moment getting Norwich above us in the table.

Kudos to you - I had to mute the commentary, it was driving me to violence.

Dejection. But then it’s all just so temporary and quite confusing. A bigger effort and fortuitous win against Birmingham and this schizophrenic season emotionally flops the other way again.

Maybe the apathy is linked to the fact that the supporter base can do FA about the situation. We don’t even know what is going on with our own players, nevermind the machinations of the club.

Thanks Clive - A very well written and sobering report which is bang on the money as always.

My season ticket seat was one of the many that was empty Sunday. I just couldn't muster the will to get to HQ. My poor Daughter did go with her friend and speaking to her on the phone as she trudged back down South Africa Road to White City Tube made me angry because I had no answers to her questions.

Why are the players so unfit?

What the hell was that formation?

Why don't we tackle anyone?

And the worse one of all - Why did you make me support QPR?

There is something very smelly going on behind the scenes right now.

"...but the main thing now is to give this experience for young players".
* * * * * * * *

Take a long, hard look at that. When have you ever heard a football manager or coach say that?

It's not about the results any more. They're just incidental.

I frankly cannot believe that JS wants to do that, relying on youth makes his (alleged) job of winning games very difficult, especially when our young players are so far short of the required standard.

Surely it's an instruction from someone else? Nourry? Doesn't it make you wonder which other decisions are out of JS' control? Substitutions? How to play?

Sack the manager, bring some other poor sod to this circus, but how on earth can we ever prosper when the head coach/manager has his hands tied like this?

Fans need to understand the reality of how we operate now. Clearly, some of the errors *are* down to JS, but too often on here, I see posters raging at what JS has or hasn't done, as if everything is down to him. It simply isn't.

Meanwhile, our young player development isn't fit for purpose, employees - including senior players are - treated like dirt, plus the fans are starved of information and even lied to.

We need an experienced DoF now, someone who can rebuild the club's culture, show respect to its players, staff and fans, and most importantly, start to help us progress.

PS: Great report, I hope reliving that grim experience didn't depress you too much.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Thanks Clive & I will admit to being apathetic at present, but I don't think that anyone who knows me would call me passive about Queens Park Rangers! My apathy has increased little by little every season for more than a decade, though there have been times (few) that I've seen glimpses of progress.

Back in January, after the Wrexham & Coventry games (the best we've played this season), I stated that I could understand what Stephan was trying to achieve. This definitely is no longer true & his substitutions are getting more bizare. Would I get rid of him? No, what would be the point of replacing him? All we would do is rent the third coach of similarity to replace him. Rather like wanting to change the car you own but are unhappy with, with the same model.

I've been reading all season that we have a better squad this season than last. Have we? Possibly, in that when "all are fit" theoretically we have better subs available. The team, apart from having Burrell & Kone upfront, is about the bloody same, but defensively weaker! We need options when making changes, rather than having an identikit come on. Recently I stated that we only had a few players that would be considered top six championship club players. I've reviewed this & now can't think of one!

Am I happy with Ruben as owner? Not really, but I also fear losing his funding. My main gripe with him, is that he has continually employed incompetent people to make foorballing decisions. Unlike others, I don't include Ferdinand in that as he was often overruled by those above him. Was he particulay good? No, but look what has happened since he went!

I don't like advocatting people losing their jobs, but surely we need to trim our non playing staff drastically. And this is not referring to box office staff etc!

I do feel for all of you that are going to Birmingham and/or Leicester. I will be back in The Bush for Portsmouth on the 21st, but I'm expecting the day to go downhill after leaving the pub at 2.40pm.

Bloody hell Clive if things weren't bad enough that report has just sent me over the edge...

When I read that list of no hopers... charlatans... and mountebanks we have at our club, I had to read it twice...it goes beyond the "it beggars belief" to criminality, because they are stealing a living.

What I can't get my head around is Hoos... when he came from Burnley it was heralded as the 2nd coming... finally a "football" man... someone that understands a football club... or did I imagine all that?

I sat there Saturday and I can honestly say I don't remember a time when I have been more ashamed of my club... yes it is my club, like everyone else on here, our club. We have suffered with it, we have been exasperated with it, it as given us joy, sorrow, anger and angst... but never have I been ashamed of it

I'm totally disillusioned with us. In fact I think it is only this forum that keeps my interest in the club going. I know for a fact there is no enjoyment anymore, just a resigned numbness. If it wasn the fact that I see my brother, and his boys, and their children, I don't think I would miss this at all... and that makes me both sad and angry

Like a lot on here I have given my whole football life to the one club... to have these.... well words fail me... people!!.... denigrate us like this... to be a laughing stock, to become a passoinless, soulless shell it a disgrace

Who know if these people read this forum.. and if they did they will most likely have a snigger at posts like this... "old dinosaur" .... "out of touch"... "neanderthal" .... and yes I maybe, but I understand the meaning of pride in myself, responsibility to others, dedication, profession ism...do they?

Yes good point re Hoos as I also wonder, he came from Burnley with a good reputation, looked like a decent hire, what happened?

Been QPR'd like the rest of em.

I rarely post on here (or anywhere really)but just want to say Clive that the only thing that makes this bearable is your righteous anger and profane graveyard humour. Personally I love Marmite. I was at Loftus Road on Sunday (why??) with my Grandson, a talented footballer, and he just couldn’t believe the amount of space that midfield was allowed. He said an Under 11 coach wouldn’t let that happen. And if it started to they’d change it. If you’re not as good as the opposition you have to work harder than them, be more aggressive than them and try anything to stop them settling into any kind of rhythm. As you say Boro were barely pressed or tackled all afternoon, or even closed down. Sending Sam Field out on loan and stewing Cooke on the bench takes out two players who may not have helped us get a result against Boro, but might have! BTW that list of non jobs is terrifying, no wonder we lose £2m a month

I have said it may times before and i say it again Rueben needs to take some control. Clearly there is something wrong. Stefan frankly seems to have given up . The players are not good enough for the money spent. Saito is really poor for example. How much did we buy him for? I could carry on with the list.

Clear loads out including Nourry and Williams and given everyone has a price get Steve Gallen in.

I liked Marti and I don’t dislike Stephan. Part of me would like one of them, post QPR employment to call it as it is, because I’m so totally dejected about it all that I’m having to feign disinterest…

Thoroughly ticked off, MartGolblin posted in a longer post pretty everything that I feel
