Spurs, in the old days when there were no transfer windows, would just buy some players to make sure they never went down.
So, now it has to be them; it's a rare chance to see them go down. It also means big trouble for those clubs that did not auto-return, as for some, their PL money runs out. This means they could go all Reading or WBA on us and drop hard like stone.
Which gives us a chance to get our house in order ... I know, don't laugh at the back there.

Gotta love a conspiracy theory - but are there any instances ever of PL match officials being found guilty of corruption?
Given that literally hundreds of millions of people watch every PL game and that club lawyers would be all over it if there really was a credible accusation, I don't see it. Subconscious bias in favour of big clubs, maybe, but I'm not sure even that applies to clubs near the bottom of the table.
Aside from that, despite West Ham's continuing crapness, Bowen still looks likely to create something in any game, which is more than can be said of any Spuds player. I still feel Spuds will somehow jam their way out, but look at the form tables - they are bottom for 6, 8, 10 and 12 games. West Ham and Forest are still reliably picking up a point a game, Leeds have been but have fallen off of late. Could well be between Spuds and Leeds, and Leeds have Burnley and Wolves at home to come plus a trip to White Hart Lane. |  |

Well given the huge amounts of money involved in top level professional sport (and not forgetting the growth in gambling) then I don't think you can ever rule anything out.
Of course the mis(use) of VAR helps with this kind of thing too. |  |
