Spot on! It's a great day out. Any moaning about 12:30 ko is completely negated by fact its EIGHT miles away.
The fact it's gone to general sale with 6 tickets-a-pop is sub-Brentford levels of support and commitment. It's a pretty pathetic effort.
Club needs to rework the Loyalty Points scheme, it's far too skewed to ST holders and members who rack up points with barely actually going to an away game. Does my head in when these fans get first dibs on away tickets and solid away fans of ours then miss out.
I would suggest NOT just giving ST Holders 100+ loyalty points every season for buying an ST. Give them 0 points but they can get "double points" on each away game they attend. |
That's actually a pretty good idea with the loyalty points you should email the club.
We average 14k so don't really see why selling out an initial allocation and then asking for more tickets is pathetic !

Must be the first time we have been given the full allocation there. Normally it’s just the top tier. Do remember once being in the lower tier when we should have had a late penalty after a ridiculous foul on Lee Cook. Was so blatant. Always enjoy going over there. |
I think it's only recently, probably this season, that the police have allowed them to use the bottom tier for league games. Several clubs have sold out the 3000 full allocation this season, Norwich did on Saturday. They don't sell every seat, there's still a wide empty "sterile" zone at sides and front to stop visitors catching imbecilism from the airborne snot, froth and spittle emitted by cantankerous Lions fans.
Is good we have sold 2000, I'd be staggered if police do allow pay-on-the-gate although that apparently will be an option as it stands. My guess is we will either shift the final 1000 tickets and a sell-out is announced or they'll be withdrawn from sale towards the end of next week with a generic statement like "tickets are no longer available, please do not travel without a ticket" will happen.
BTW, I've gone via Surrey Quays station past couple of visits, brisk 10 minute walk to ground and quiet and uneventful if you fancy avoiding the throng. | | | |

Wasn't Charlton exactly the same TV and time-wise? Sold 3000 no probs and then another 300 poor view tickets.
1200 sold for Wrexham in 2 seconds flat, 9000 for West Ham likewise. Folks with less than 750 loyalty points didn't get a look-in.
Everything suggests these should sell out tomorrow BUT.... I have a strong feeling a significant amount of fairweather wet-lettuce fans will give it a swerve. I reckon the box office know this and hence the odd decision to not take the full 3000 allocation from the get-go. |

i think its a good achievement selling the initial allocation, and with a week and half until the 18th, we should sell the 1,000 left.

Have to admit that I find away trips to the Den a massive ball-ache, which I have decided to forego this season.
I am really pleased that we have sold so many thus far and think the rest will probably get snapped up, especially if we beat BC at the weekend. However, if the remainder are not, I might re-consider. Though probably not.
For many seasons this has been the shortest away trip from Eastside Towers, (although with Charlton back, they’re slightly closer to me*) so this should be a no-brainer. (Both are nearer to me than Loftus Road!)
I really object to my journey being dictated by their throwback cosplay hooligan reputation. Shame on the Met Police for colluding on them with this nonsense. As a main in his mid-fifties (ahem) I should be able to travel how I see fit in my home city. Obvious journey for me is down the Overground line to Surrey Quays, but there’s no guarantee that this will be ‘allowed’ and I doubt it will be clear up until the day of the match.
I’ll admit that the fact that we always seem to lose when I go there doesn’t help. We lose to them even when they’re sh*t and they’re pretty good this season. We even managed to lose to them in the Championship-winning season. I’ve only ever seen us win there pre-season (mid-nineties?)

With regards to going there via Surrey Quays overground i tried to go that way last season but it was engineering work on that line rather than plod stopping us coming that way .
So if the line is open you should be fine this time round hopefully .
Never had a problem going to the ground via tube or overground but difficult to go back that way after as they send us all to London bridge . | | | |
