We had a great season,exciting games and the fans were brilliant home and away.
St. Marys was rocking like never before,then Spy gate.

Media frenzy ensues,we cant have that its cheating.
It seamed like the whole football world had turned on us.
We were wrong to do this and we had to be punished.
I don't even disagree with the playoff final ban,hurts to say that.
But why did the EFL take so long to investigate?
We had fans buying tickets,Hull were training to face us.
The fans were innocent in all this,some even thought it funny until reality set in.
The way we have been treated as fans has been awful.
I've had it with the game now,do I want to see the big clubs taking turns to win everything NO.
The way the media turned on Saints was sad.
Cant see me posting on here much more as I don't want to get drawn into arguments about we got what we deserved.
The Club I love will always be my Club so I take my memories with me.

The price of food, petrol, energy for the home. War in the Middle East. War in Ukraine. Can't see a doctor. Can't get a dentist. Where and how much is my family holiday abroad gonna cost this year with the cost of jet fuel? Mortgage keeps going up but my savings keep going down. I've just had to sell one of my kidneys to pay for a brand new tyre & 12v battery for the car AND the MOT is due soon. And I am, apparently, borderline type 2 diabetes I've just been told. It's a wonder with all of the above I can sleep at night.
To escape it all - there's always my football club every Saturday afternoon, a club I've loved & supported for well over 50-years now, to help escape all the worries, anxieties & stresses of it all & something to take my mind away from all of the above sh1t that we all endure in everyday life - if only for a few hours on a Saturday afternoon with your mates. But now even being a Saints fan, today, here & now, feels like even my own club have taken a massive dump on all of us - so much so that even the joy of football now seems to be just another kick in the teeth. Instead, yet another Summer of unknown turmoil awaits. Sometimes I wish I didn't even like football !!

I was really looking forward to seeing us at Wembley on Saturday, a team that was bang in form and would have graced that stage and the players deserved another game there
Now down to rank stupidity and the arrogance of thinking they could just bluster their way out of it, it's been taken away
I see Leo's post on instagram and would imagine that will be the first of many, I'm gutted to think that many of the players who've been absolutely superb for the last 4 or 5 months won't be in a Saints shirt again and my last memory of them will be in a game that was ultimately pointless last Tuesday

Their investment is in tatters - they're going to get back what they can and disappear. No chance they'll be paying out anything to supporters. They've invested the bare minimum throughout, constantly taken the cheap option on everything and sold any player that has performed well at the first opportunity. If we had lost on Saturday, quite possible as Hull did a job on us twice during the season, we wouldnt have got that money anyway, so effectively we are only 4pts worse off than we would have been in those circumstances, and victory given the spying, would have been hollow IMO.
So once ive sorted out all the refunds onwards and upwards

I have been reading Simon Jordan's book recently, and he talked about when Palace got promoted just under 15 years ago, they were worse off from getting promoted, due to the huge increase in player salaries, promotion bonuses plus of course the transfer fees they paid out for players to try and compete in the Prem.
It seems to me that most clubs in the Prem lose just as much, if not more money than those in the Championship.

The problem is that regardless of who stays and who goes we will struggle next season, West Spam or Spuds will win the league, Wolves who've already planned for next season will be second, you then have Burnley who have been promoted automatically over the last few years, not strumbled through the playoffs like us. This season with the implosion of Leicester was our chance to "keep the money" coming in with promotion but thanks to an idiotic plan we failed, you have to ask where our experienced assistant manager was in all this? So I can't see us getting much above mid table in the championship for years to come unless we get an new owners/an investor but who's going to invest in the club that cheats? So sorry Nick I have no optimism at all for the future of SFC, i truly hope I am wrong. | | | |

Probably should have added that we would have had an opportunity to get promoted
I actually think Hull will win on Saturday and had we have been playing them it would have been a very tough game which it wouldn't have shocked me if they'd beaten us seeing as they already had twice previously
Anyway, this is all conjecture now | |
