First ten or fifteen minutes was as good as I've seen us play since we were in the Prem. Tempo dropped off a bit as the half went on but we still controlled it for the most part.
Second half not as good, although we rarely looked in too much danger. Widell was probably the only player trying to get us playing at the same pace but the game was basically done. We were still good, but in different ways.
Challenge now is to stretch that 10/15 minutes to 20 or 25, and have a couple of spells of it. |  |

Excellent so far. My only disappointment is that Opoku is again less effective than last time out. Missed a real sitter as the ball rebounded from the post, and has not made the most of some good positions. Even taking account of his two goals so far (both deflections), one would have to say he is not that clinical. Let us hope that he snaps back into gear. [Post edited 1 Sep 20:45]

Mate this guy is Ayew with pace he is a talent that could a least be playing mid table prem league.
He is scoring but it deflected wait until he has a dry patch he will be the next Ronald that I am glad he is coming back as he is a beast.

Excellent win tonight and a dynamic first half performance to stamp our authority on the game. It was so nice to see Welsh and Lissah pass forwards and through the lines the first 20 minutes to break the press and get us moving forward on the break.
I have nothing against Cabango and Burgess but it makes a huge difference when you can play out from the back through the high press rather than just pass it back to the keeper. I hope this continues as it makes a huge difference to our game.
We seem to be much more balanced now with added pace and a counter attack in our armoury which is required to succeed in this league. Kudos to the coaching team and players so far for addressing some of the issues that have held us back previously. | |

Thought we lived a bit dangerously in the second half, they had good chances. |
They were always going to have a chance or two but all in all a dominant display and well deserved 3 points .They fed off our mistakes rather than create themselves and we did get a bit sloppy in the middle hence the substiutions which steadied us and great to see us still looking to create rather than sit back trying to see the game out. I thought our defence was very good tonight with all four putting in a shift . Anyone watching that tonight will be wary of what to expect when they play us , which is what it should be . | |

What I really liked about Welsh tonight was the way he was marshaling the defence. He was controlling the line to push the forwards back and compress the midfield, I lost count of the number of times we caught the forwards offside. | | | |
