Clint HIll on JFH 13:21 - Dec 9 with 2439 views | DWQPR | Interesting interview with Clint on the offish about the first few days of training with JFH. Talked about the new manager wanting the team to be really fit, something I am sure that we all agree has been lacking so far this season, that he wants us to be a pressing team, certainly something I would like to see and that a few players have already been pulled up in training for a perceived lack of effort. I wonder who these could be? http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/qpr-clint-hill-jimmy-floyd-hasselbaink-2840942 Sounds encouraging so far.

Clint HIll on JFH on 14:10 - Dec 9 with 2238 views | bosh67 | Already worried about JFH! Clint Hill rates him. Wants an attacking team. Wants a pressing team. Wants the team working as a unit. Wants a fit team that puts every effort in. This surely doesn't fit the recent management or playing style criteria. What is he thinking?

What odds one of those players was Leroy Fer?

Clint HIll on JFH on 14:22 - Dec 9 with 2196 views | daveB | Just like any set piece specialist who joins QPR and the moment he pulls on the hoops can no longer can a free kick, I am sure we'll knock this work ethic out of him given time. All sounds far too good

Comes across as a pretty smooth operator to be fair. Encouraging noises. Let's hope he's given time to implement his way of doing things, even if that means dropping some "big names" if theyre not training in the way he wants and blooding some youngsters. [Post edited 9 Dec 2015 15:38]

Got a definite feeling that Fer and JFH aren't going to get on - the Dutch are great at falling out with each other, and an expensive languid type who blows hot and cold doesn't sound like a JFH type of player Hope I'm wrong and he gets Leroy firing as there's an outstanding player in there somewhere

I could very well be wrong but my impression is that Fer is one of those players who supporters and managers have quite different opinions of with regards the effort he puts in, because of the impression supporters get from the way he moves--as in he looks like he's doing less work than he actually is. That may sound daft, possibly because it is daft.

so lets judge a player on how far he runs. Charlie doesnt do much running just sticks the ball in the goal first to be dropped.

But Fer doesn't work hard, create anything or put the ball in the net at the moment. Literally playing with 10 when he's picked.

He is just bloody lazy. Frustrates the hell out of me. He wanders around the pitch close to the action but never getting involved unless the ball comes his way. On top of that his ball control at times is appalling. Hopefully JFH will give him a rocket.

Fer has to be one of the laziest players UI;ve ever seen, wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt last season but watching him he never runs off the ball and walks for most of the match. I don;t think he's any good either, back to back relegation's and quite rare for him to play well two games in a row. Even in the championship he hasn't looked any good

some of his passes as well are so lazy, just a token pass into space and then throw arms in the air when it turns out the pass was too weak or no one was there.
Clint HIll on JFH on 18:43 - Dec 9 with 1650 views | R_from_afar | Good to hear that he wants us to be a pressing team. It's a definite step forward from being a depressing one. In all seriousness, when it comes to the pressing game and what players do when they don't have the ball, Big Ron nailed it and what he said should be on a sign above the entrance to the tunnel at LR: "The opposition can't stop you running". Clint HIll on JFH on 20:55 - Dec 9 with 1486 views | ozexile | Don't understand why every team isn't a pressing team. Surely its better to win the ball back close to the oppositions goal. If you win it in the edge of your own box you've got 80metres to go!
Clint HIll on JFH on 23:22 - Dec 9 with 1328 views | Benny_the_Ball | All positive stuff and exactly what some of the players need. The key will be whether the team has the discipline to press together.
Clint HIll on JFH on 23:50 - Dec 9 with 1303 views | queensparker | I hope Faurlin makes it in a pressing team, but I can't see it. A massive shame when you think of him pre-three knee ops, he was f--King brilliant in defence and in the air. Could have been a real contender
