In Haven’t read it but someone has promised to lend me a Robert Elms book. Is the whole book about the Westway Monkeys? Sounds more like JG Ballard territory. Unless of course the monkeys were Kid Creole & The Coconuts fans.
Btw: Here’s somewhat of a spiffing stat. In his first 4 games Barbet gave a penalty away every other game. Then he didn’t give a penalty away for five games. Then he got injured for a few months. Now he hasn’t given a penalty away for six games. It’s only one simplistic aspect of his game but an indication of a general improvement. [Post edited 26 Feb 2020 17:26]
