Thought his inclusion was going to be a flash in a pan knee jerk reaction due to fan pressure and Lumley’s poor form. I thought by Christmas we would have a mistake prone young keeper with broken confidence.
Now I’d dread to think where we we’d be without him.
What has everyone else been wrong about?

Believing after a win that we may go on a run.
Samba Diakite. Lost a bit of credibility with my mates after raving about this guy. Adel too. Thought there was a payer there that would truly kick on after leaving us and be a regular in the Champions league, what a waste. And wine, used to be a bit indifferent to the stuff, now I’m blowing £200 a month on it. More during lockdown.

To be fair, the Adel one might be coming true finally. He’s two points off the top of the Portuguese Premier League and doing well by all accounts

Blue cheese, my mum used to eat it all the time when I was a kid and I always thought the smell was horrific and the taste must be terrible. Turns out I was very wrong.
Eze - yeah thats right. I just thought ´this is QPR, he´ll be the next Balanta or Donnelly´ ....changed my mind by about the Villa 3-1 win a couple of years ago

Also Covid. Thought it was going the way of SARS or Ebola. I was very wrong.
I think everyone, from the top government officials in the world to the ordinary Joe soaps in the street, underestimated the longevity and potency of covid - scary thing is, many still do.

I backed him on here long after everyone else had him sussed. I think I got defensive when posters were mocking his facial condition in a personal way , maybe not remembering he got that way in a fatal car crash. I though that was a bit low .
I backed myself into a corner after that and found myself defending the indefensible .

Agreed, I was one of those, assured everybody who’d listen that it’ll all blow over by late spring!

Before he came here, admittedly, but I believed all the cheeky chappie, honest Joe bollox. Embarrassed about it now.
Also Boris Johnson. Thought he was quite a laugh, a harmless kind of old buffer in the Have I Got News for You days.
Very suspicious of anyone who does that kind of rumpled charm schtick these days.

I remember S'ampton fans warning us on this board about Redknapp. I never really liked him, if I recall but My God! I had no inkling how twisted he was.

Same here. At the time, I thought he was the one to save us.
