Championship tonight on 22:21 - Jan 27 with 2366 views | TomS | Is it time to play Relegation Bingo yet? Our fate is in our own hands. We'll take it one game at a time. There's no need to panic. Every match from here on in will be like a cup game. Are there three teams worse than us? We're too good to go down. We'll be fine. Charlie's goals will keep us up. Who will score the goals we need to stay up if he gets injured?

Haven’t played Lincoln away for almost 50 years. Would hate it if we passed like ships in the night. Correction: 50 years? - make that 60 (SIXTY) years! Man hadn’t yet landed on the moon but we won 5-0 away. [Post edited 27 Jan 2021 22:58]

To be fair our current form isn’t disastrous, just need to turn a few of the draws into wins, we have to be realistic and expect some defeats will happen, as long as wins outnumber them then we will be fine.

Agree but the pressure is on. Most of the teams around us have started getting good results. Rotherham have two games in hand and we have two big clubs in Derby and Forest still below us. Most seasons there are one or two teams that go on very late winning runs. Still a long way to go and we need to get several wins in the remaining games.

To my eternal shame, I've been to Lincoln away three times, and never once been for a wander round the old town or looked at the Cathedral. We just rolled off the train, headed in the direction of the ground and ended-up in the same 6/10 Irish boozer every time. One year, pre-mobiles, the game was called-off due to flooding, but none of us realised, so we got all the way to Lincoln and were having such a nice time in the pub, that when we finally found out the game was off at about 2:00pm, we decided to stick around anyway. Ended-up getting back to London about 3 hours later than we would have done if the game had been played. Particular lowlight of the day, was cobbling together the money to buy a sausage in batter from a chippy in Newark or Retford, and then watching it roll off the tray and into a puddle in a gravel car park near the station. Gutted. Still, everyone else enjoyed it. Highlight of the day was getting comedy announcements put out over the tannoy whilst we waited for the train home, and then finding ourselves in a carriage with two Fulham who sorted us out for beers all the way back to London, as they seemed to have been on a booze cruise to Calais or something from the amount of beer they had with them. Happy days. I would love to go back to Lincoln and have a proper look around the town. Bet it's got some lovely pubs.

Yes but every club will say the same. If Derby hadn't beaten us and Bournemouth after losing to Rotherham. If Rotherham hadn't beaten Derby and Boro and so on. This division is abysmally poor. Only Norwich (who we drew away with) and Wycombe (who we drew away with) look a cut above or below. Swansea are in good form as are Brentford. Middlesboro are on the cusp of the playoffs just lost 3-0 at home and lost to SW a couple of weeks ago. No one seems capable of putting a decent run together. It was the same last year, Leeds and WBA were sh1t over the winter months. We are not in bad form as has been already said. It was a pity Wycombe was postponed because it would have been an ideal time to post those three points, but then supposes we didn't - more panic. I said at the beginning of the season that with no crowds home advantage is greatly nullified and apart from travelling there is no difference between playing at home or away . This has been borne out by our results this season and will probably continue to do so with clubs picking up away results they didn't expect, but dropping 'silly' points at home.

Ah yes the old potato pound Lincoln City matchday programme scam where the gullible would call in at the secretary’s office to claim their £1 and bomp! on the back of the head to wake up next morning in a potato field another victim of the agricultural slave trade.

Deffo, and if we'd lost all the games we've drawn and won we'd now be rock bottom with no points. That's the situation we're not in and no one can argue with that.
