'Always In Motion' by John Honney available on amazon.co.uk
It is the work of genius Chris Morris and Armando Ianucci from early 1990's, pre-dating the massive increase of satellite and cable news and came from a radio programme. People like Steve Coogan, Stewart Lee, Richard Herring, Rebecca Front, Patrick Marber, Doon Makichan all pretty much cut their TV teeth in it either as writers and/or performers. Rumour was that they spent vast majority of their budget on flashy graphics, segways etc. using the same companies that provided the real stuff to Sky and Channel 4 at the time, to as closely imitate the real new channels of the time.
His stuff is dark, beyond edgy and nothing is sacrosanct. Brilliant
Yes, it's brilliant. I was quite shocked by it and didn't know whether I should laugh or not. It's a subject about which you might only expect to hear quietly told jokes down the pub. To hear in such a public way is I guess the result of the multi media age.
I notice St. Mirren have a game left to play away at Aberdeen midday Sunday. As far as I can tell neither team is going up or down so it’s a dead rubber (deep fried spam fritter?). I wonder if Ethan O’Erah-Heraherahon will be playing.
