Warburton's departure. I am ambiguous about him leaving, but really hoped - as it was a pre-planned decision to not renew his contract, not a sudden sacking -they had a replacement lined up. Clearly, that is not the case and now we have lost three weeks of what is already a very short window. Our new manager needs to be appointed ASAP., to give him (or her) the opportunity to get themselves sorted and the players in that they want/need. We have six very good players, 3 or 4 good players and that's about it. The dogs in the street know where we need strengthening, but we need to get moving.

Its 27th May, the players are on holiday, the current Championship season hasn't finished for some clubs yet. The club probably have identified managers well before Warburton went, but they can't be going round approaching them while Warburton is in the job. Thinking of our targets, Manning only recently finished his playoffs, he is probably on holiday, Michael Beale's season finished on Sunday, Ainsworth on Saturday. Our recruitment team do most of the identifying of targets and are probably busy identifying all these players we will make approaches for in the next few months, by which point a manager certainly will be appointed. There have only been 5 transfers in the Championship so far, 4 pre-arranged Cardiff ones and John Swift to WBA. Its far far far too early to panic. Theres a couple of weeks of international football next before players even report back to pre-season training.

Not panicked just frustrated. None of the points you make stop us from having a the very least a 'gentleman's' agreement to take over once their final game (if they are in play-offs /prem) is completed. It smacks of uncertainty at at time when we need to be decisive

The club are just interviewing people and trying to get the best person for the job which does tend to take longer than just going for someone you have your eye on. I'd be surprised if we don't appoint anyone in the next week

I suspect 1st June is the key date as its when contracts roll over etc Warburton is still the manager until then, other managers / coaches have 1 year less on their contract or potential break clauses.
Player contracts are usually end of June

Warburton was appointed on the 8th May for example -WHICH IS 19 FECKIN DAYS AGO!
We also sacked McClaren on 1st April, then 39 days later appointed someone who was unemployed. Its very possible most of our top targets didn't even have permission to talk to us until their seasons are over, let alone interview fully and have a gentleman's agreement in place. I actually don't mind the wait, there is very little benefit in rushing an appointment, its clear there have been interviews and movement and the appointment will be soon. Then they'll have 2 months before the season starts, a month of which won't even be with the players anyway. Its more than enough time.

How childish....
Terrier Venables.
One potential manager who appears to no longer be in the running is...sorry about this, it's dreadful...
Spaniel Farke
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
