Coming to the end of a long holiday in the scorching Kerry sunshine, my mind turned to Euro-hits of yore. Who’s the greatest? Baccarat, Ottawan, Black Box, Sabrina? My money’s on this sophisticated chap, clearly a man who knows what he likes.

I was on a camping trip with some mates in south-west France near Bordeaux mid-late 90s. The nearest town would put on a disco most nights with all the usual pop garbage. Then at about 9pm they would have a rock section with Nirvana and Blur etc where we’d all steam onto the dance floor. They’d also play this at full whack bloody brilliant!

reminds me of camping holidays with my 2 (then) kids... They used to find the chorus hilarious because they were convinced the lyrics were "the Booby and the Willy with me". Still makes me smile :)

Where I got all my moves from
Never heard this one before … a banger and a half. I’d imagine the duo did P.A’s at every beach and supermarket opening from Alicante to Zambujeiro Do Mar that summer culminating in a guest appearance on the Spanish version of 3-2-1 (Tres, Dos, Uno). Having to do the dance several times a day would have led to severe muscle and ligament injuries plus long lasting repetitive strain syndrome. Very dark lyrics too inbetween the verse chorus ululations. Something about a nuclear bomb exploding on the beach, all the fish dying, and everyone catching radiation poisoning.
