Obviously I'm a fan and many aren't so all good and not one for today,

But just to say I think the lad was on a Ventilator with Pneumonia just over a month ago and I couldn't see him back before the season's end,

Just shows you the character of the bloke and how much he cares for our club that he's pushed himself to get back so quickly and help our cause which was looking increasingly desperate,

Fair play to him.

Good post, ParkRoyalR, and I certainly agree. He looked remarkably fresh yesterday and rather pacey too chasing down defenders and competing for loose balls. We've missed him.

He could certainly teach those sick notes a thing or two.

Yeah 100% agree. He becomes a target because he isn’t shall we say the most clinical but he gives 100% to the cause. He’s also a good player at this level in my view.

I think it was only a tweaked pneumonia as opposed to a more serious pulled pneumonia.

I am going to try not being cynical as I will always back our players, but there is also a matter of some EURO Quals coming up at the end of the month. I think he has his eye on being called up for those even if he only gets a few minutes, but definitely he wants to be there in June. Scotland's two matches this month are both at home v Cyprus and Spain.

Ainsworth said he gave the lads a big lift when he reappeared at the Training Ground as a character + popular squad member, plus Steve Clarke is a big fan of Dykes so don't think it's makes a difference to his Scotland squad chances, if anything sure Clarke would have preferred he spent more timing getting match fit than being rushed back.

He looked really happy to be playing too. That's some recovery though, pneumonia to an hour of competitive football inside a few weeks.

Full credit. Puts a couple of the others to shame. Made a huge difference to us too.

Absolutely. The criticism of Dykes before his illness was so misplaced. He may not finish enough chances but his all round play and contribution to us makes such a difference. FFP or no FFP I'm glad we turned down the Millwall offer. If he really gets firing someone will eventually pay a lot more.

I don't think we've heard the last of that Millwall offer tbh mate.

Ah, teaches me for getting carried away. Well £5m bare minimum I say. When you see the money that Forest paid for that Wood horse, one hot streak of form and our £10m deficit could get wiped out by a Premier League club in trouble in January.

Absolutely remarkable recovery. I've been hospitalised several times with Pneumonia and it's an absolute bitch to recover from. Being match fit this fast is huge credit to him. It shows such a lot of character and will to get back up, out and playing.

Given the style of play we are going to see having him and Martin up front bullying centre backs will be no bad thing.

First goal now after what he's been through will be immense. Let's hope it's on Tuesday if he came through yesterday okay enough to go again, although I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't and plays next Saturday.

Well done Lyndon. You've shown real bravery and it's appreciated.

Never knowingly right.

I was so pleased for him getting a standing ovation yesterday. It seems to me the people in the ground who actually go to matches are much more supportive of him than those on social media who follow the team from highlights (I'm not talking here about people like Brian and many others who regularly watch streams and follow the team closely but more about the casual fan).

I have watched this club for 50 years now and I use the phrase,But is he a Rangers player. The whole issue with Beale and critchley imo is we were always a stepping stone ,this applies to players and manager.
However with some you get the feeling, and it is difficult to justify rationally that some players are and will always be aQPR player.Dunne ,Dickie ,Kakay,Field,Albert,Sinclair Armstrong, and Elias Chair
And Dykes
Totally Rangers

The issue has been elsewhere with the managers and some other players

I believe they will learn the hard way that money follows from respect. They simply do not respect the club enough

Thank you Tim but I do not think you regard Rangers as anything but a stepping stone.

Clearly not quite 100% but kudos to him for getting back on the pitch so soon. And I think was a cute move by Ainsworth to start him and give the players and fans a lift before the game.
