Why cannot they have a split second thought ‘keep this down!’?
Whilst I have your attention- why do we allow goals immediately after half time??

Leading the league with goals given up after 40 minutes and within 10 minutes of second half starting If I remember a post from earlier this year .
Incredibly frustrating today Ronnie mentioned they had planned to keep it tight for the first few minutes knowing Preston would launch attacks and in she went to our net .

But then when you want one of them to actually lift it (Bennie home and away) he tends to keep it low!!
There are lots of reasons but I just wish they could think in that split second rather than seeming to panic!

I watched the Bayern Real Madrid match last night.
Vinicius junior circa €600,000 pw. From 30 yards out, leans back, shot screams over the bar.
Killian Mbappe circa €600,000 pw.
Mighty shot from about 20 yards out, whoosh over the bar.
Luis Diaz €300,000 pw, plus some loose change. 15 goals in 26 games for Bayern. Cuts in from the left to get the ball on his right foot, a quick swipe and kaboom the ball sails majestically over the bar.

This goes along with passing behind a player going forward.
Happens way to often - play the ball in front of the man so he can take it in his stride FFS. You pass it behind and you lose a few precious seconds while he has to collect and turn around to go forward (or pass back again!). |  | | |

Well I imagine if you are paid any where over 2-300,000 per week you are thought of as perfect or at least pretty damn near. Hence Harvey Vale and others on less than 20k per week should be given a bye. The others not. | |

It looks easy to keep the ball low without blasting it 'well high' but in the pressure of the situation it isn't as easy as many think.....however we should be doing a lot better, they are full time professionals playing in one of the best leagues in the world.
I'm more concerned about the goals that we concede so early after half time TBH, that is what we should be addressing!!!! | | | |

This doesn't just happen at Rangers, it happens at every single club. You'll see players blasting the ball over the bar at some point in pretty much every game you watch. Why players can't control it - why, indeed, they don't practice hitting balls that come to them just outside the box - is a mystery to me, because it happens so often. |  |
