I like JS as he is just very calm. You could see what he was trying to do last season, but due to availability, squad depth, and lack of quality, it never quite worked.
All those three things have been addressed to a point (one more CM please!)so he's now able to demand more. Those who can't do it will be moved out as he is pretty ruthless.

Never disliked him but he (or someone) made some wrong decisions last season.....team selection were not good, substitutions were poor, tactics were all over the place and more.

He had a tough gig coming in because Marti was so popular and it’s taken me a bit of time to warm to him but he really is getting to grips with this league and the players seem happy . Exciting season hopefully . |  | | |

I’ve always liked Stéphan and never warmed to Marti. His credentials/experience are much better and there were a few things he said early on about how he wanted the players to approach the game that I really liked.
I also don’t get the impression the players cared for Marti judging by some of their response to the Leicester game, Madsen in particular.
Problem with Stéphan is that he carries the stigma of Nourry with him. I think this trust thing with club is or has been overshadowing things a bit. We’ve been sh*t for over a decade, who knows, maybe we’ve finally turned a corner? |  | | |

I recall he made some comments about fitness a while back and it's clear, we are far more fitter.
This time last year, we were blowing out our 'arrises after 70 mins. We had nothing in the tank for the last 20 to force more out of the PNE and Watford games and as for Cov! Yesterday, we're still pushing at a fair old lick right to the end.

I agree but it does help when you can bring on 4 subs in the second half without impact the quality on the pitch. Should keep players fresher as the season progresses.
