Can't really recall any keeper even at the highest level that has his level of skill and range of passing.
Think we will know more about his actual goalkeeping skills in other games.But for a 20 year old has amazing confidence and assuredness.

To be perfectly honest I am a bit worried about his ability in our box when big bastards are up attacking corners etc .Not any reason why just seems a bit on the slight side but maybe the TV makes you slimmer lol .
Obviously he is superb delivering out balls and the defenders are really loving that not one hesitation passing back like the first half today .

Can honestly say that in 60 years of watching football, I've can't remember ever seeing a goalkeeper quite like him. He adds another dimension - I mean, pep obviously brought this ball playing keeper stuff to the UK, but this is something else completely - he moves us forward quicker, picks out precise long balls and gives the back four complete confidence to bring him into play. Oh, and on top of this he can actually use his hands too....

Quite a remarkable difference to be being pressed all the time because a simple pass completely takes 3-4 players out of the game. And if it’s not on wide, it’s direct to feet through the middle, to someone on the half turn.

He has started the season well, his striking of the ball is excellent and gives us an edge from the back. JCS & Dunne look very comfortable with him as well when they receive the ball.

I'm worried we will rely on him far too much and not have a plan B.
He's not ours and most likely won't be next season. Whoever takes over (Ward) is going to not be as good for that particular attribute.

Starting to think this Kid could have a Taarabt level of influence on this team.
Like Taarabt he is a very unique type of player with exceptional skills that fundamentally changes the way we play and how other teams deal with us. Essentially he's a cheat code. A keeper and a prime Beckenbauer Sweeper Playmaker who can never play the opposition onside. With the ball it's essentially giving us 12 men on the pitch, full backs move into midfield, centre backs move into full back areas as we saw yesterday with Dunne. It's allowed us to dominate every game this season so far because we always have that one extra man. If teams try to press he goes over or through them. If they sit off we out number them. I mean you have to hand it to Stephan he's worked out tactics to make the most of this unique talent.
Need the strikers firing though, like the Warnock season you still need a really good team and set of players to maximise the opportunity |  | | |

I recall that it was mentioned somewhere that he played midfield at a younger age.
I notice that, unchallenged, his distribution is work-class, but when charged down properly, it becomes like a normal keeper's passing range.
He did an excellent save yesterday, and also having Dunne win almost everything in the air helped him greatly.
I am now convinced we need a replacement sub for Dunne in case he gets injured or suspended.
As for Charles going back at the end of the season, this gives us a year to find a player as close as possible to him, if he does indeed become crucial to the way we play. |  |

I don't think we could find another like him. We did sign Callum Ward on a permanent. We need him to learn as much as he can from Charles in training etc. | | | |
