Excellent report very enjoyable and after this incredible start all is well in QPRland.
I see Vale is getting a good bit of stick on LFW but I thought he was good except for the shots he blazed over and that one he stumbled and poked wide in the first half .If he scored 2 of those it would be a different headline .
Mbengue should be sitting on the bench Saturday its no secret anymore he is great going forward suspect in defense all teams will know it now |  | | |

Vale is always trying things. Not much went right for him on Wednesday but he didn't hide, he kept plugging away and showed the sort of mental bravery you'd want... we've all seen players make two or three duff passes, get some stick and go into their shell.
Stephan wants them to a bit more swashbuckling this year by the sounds of it, so this sort of attitude is required.
That said he'd have probably been pulled if we hadn't needed to get the cotton wool mob off en masse. |  | | |

Great report . Didn’t have a problem with Vale on Wednesday. Worked hard and is being overshadowed by the excellence of his team mates, Lamptey , Dunne, Edwards, Kamara and Charles in particular. Thought everybody put in a shift .

FWIW, I thought Willock had more room and was potentially more dangerous after Mbengue went off.
The thing that worries me more than anything with Amadou is his fitness. He nearly always seems to have a moment or two in a game where he feels a knock or a strain. This time he looked busted for a few minutes before going off.
I was surprised that Julien replaced Lloyd and not Burrell. Rumarn looked to have less energy than Alfie the energetic.
Madsen looked like he is still overcoming his ankle injury, thank goodness Ronnie has stepped into midfield, Kamara is on it and JCS has stayed fit.
Not wishing to pour oil on but Harvey was the biggest disappointment. Did little right on the night.

Top man Jamie - Great report.
I really enjoyed the game Wednesday night. Easy to say now I know because if Cardiff had equalised I would have gone home with the right bang needle and been like a bear with a sore head for the next few days.
What a great squad this has developed into. I am sure the wheels will fall off but right now I am loving every minute of it.
Massive test tomorrow. Will need to get another body in midfield and not get bashed up there as in previous encounters with Middlesbrough.

Yes it was a fairly enjoyable mad game, end to end stuff with neither team willing to back down going forwards. As mentioned it did feel like another "seen this film before" for the last 15 minutes or so but glad to get the win over the line.
Boro on Saturday will be a definite indicator of where we're at. |  |

Agree on Charles, I thought that was his best game, less about his feet more as a keeper he was excellent on crosses which for me was a concern in pre season and the Millwall game but he looked a lot more confident. |  | | |
