He reminds me of Paddy Kenny in that he is a very good Championship keeper but not a very good Premier League Keeper. He lacks confidence when playing at a higher level. Strikers are far sharper in the Premier League and we will need better.

Good goalie at this level. We need to be ruthless, he is not good enough for the Premier League therefore we must get better - if we go up. Even if we stay down, if he stays he will have to take a massive pay cut as his wages are inflated to say the least. | | | |

He's playing games and not conceding many goals, which helps any keeper's confidence. Would easily do a job for us in the PL.

Agreed. Whole new first 11 if we get promoted, what could possibly go wrong? Besides these new premier league quality players will come to qpr for the novelty of playing for a newly promoted team so their wages will be a lot lower. It truly is a win win situation.  |  | | |

As for Rob Green, tonight he pulled off a couple of excellent saves when we were in front just like PK used to do.

He made a great double stop in the second half, so that was his real work on the night. He's in decent form at the moment, but I can't really see how he offers us value for money in this division or the one above, on the type of money he earns.

I suspect it may also come down to what happens with the Cesar situation. If he's still around come the summer then we could be saying goodbye to Green. We certainly don't want to be paying both of them and as Cesar is under contract, he'll stay for at least 2 more years. | | | |

You could well be right Clive, but for a player that was signed on the basis that he thought he was going to be our number one keeper, only to be bombed out by Hughes, I think he's done pretty well really.

IIRC was OK for West Ham in 5 seasons in the Premiership, when I think he got most of his England caps.
Give him a halfway solid defence then I reckon we could do a lot worse even in the Premiership, if we get there.
