Didn't they lose the final over 2 legs in 1986?
They didn't bother with awembley final that year.

Just watched this back for the first time since going mental with my dad in the front room back in 1986 - happy days. Try telling a Southampton fan tonight the cups mean nothing

When to every game of that run bar the hull away game , some great memories

" When tel goes up to lift the milk cup we'll be there "
"We came all this way and we won, and we won"

Also the bed sheet with " we did it mum"

Cannot believe it's over 30 years

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

I had a £5 bet that we'd win it before the season started at 25-1.
All the hard stuff done and we didn't show up for the final.
I did ask the bookies if they'd pay out on a two legged semi final win but guess what they said?

The night at anfield made up for the disappointment we suffered in the extra final.

My favourite moment was 'mad dog' Martin Allen going right through the back of Alan Hansen. These days a nailed on red card, then just a bit of unpleasantness! Two own goals, Ian St John, a completely unbiased pundit, Molby's mullet, Elton Welsby, it comes flooding back! Happy Days!

In trouble again. Trailing 0-2 to Wolves at the Kop Library.

Didn't Klopp crash at Dortmund in the end too?
