Amazing Bristol City appealed this one - less amazingly appeal was rejected

But do you get penalised if you appeal and get turned down?

100% of people who drink water will die.

Only if it’s deemed a frivolous appeal

And by frivolous you mean if it's QPR? (See Derry, Shaun)

Bare bones.

Were they appealing that it didn't end Scowen's career?

Never knowingly right.

This must have been borderline frivolous, but it is just the 3 games still.

Most obvious red card I've seen all season. Airborne, two feet, scissor motion. Amazed they appealed, and amazed the commentator on the highlights sounded so surprised.

Would have done us a favour if it had been recinded as they play our relegation rivals in the next 3 games.

The stream i watched on Saturday spent half time showing the major incidents of the first half from every possibe camera angle for each incident, so I got to relive the "tackle" on Scowen from about 250 different view points and each one of them screamed "STRAIGHT RED CARD!!"

Both feet clearly off the floor in front of him and an out of control tackle. Can't believe they had the cheek to appeal that one.

Poll: With no leg room, knees killing me, do I just go now or stay for the 2nd half o?

I guess it depends on the grounds they put for their appeal..

'Please, sir. I am a sad orphan wot don't know right from wrong. I never had nuthing growing up an when I saw that lovely ball I just had to have it sir. You know, so I could play like wot all the other boys do and share it with my 18 brothers and sisters. And little Timmy's got the crut an all an it would do 'im such good, it would, to have a ball to play wiv...' (rest of the statement is drowned out with snivelling and crying)

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Based on the managers comments it will be the usual nonsense all clubs managers spout that just ignore what is in the laws.

He said something like it wasn't premeditated, the QPR player just got there before him.

Which of course totally ignores the criteria for SFP and the guidelines for referees in the LOTG!

He's been watching too much courtroom TV

Was kind of cringeworthy watching Scowen's extra back flips though. Needs to cut that out.

Channel 5 were spot on, as always.

A yellow at worst, because Baker, tackles that way, and doesn't mean any harm.

This was endorsed by the epitome professionalism, Mr Clinton Morrison.

There’s a replay from behind the tackle. If you see it, watch Joe Bryan’s face. Tells you everything you need to know.

As I watched Scowen scurrying off in the general direction of Brizzles' penalty area I thought - oh well there is a potential goalscoring opportunity about to be buggered up BUT Baker's assault was a a sending-off times 3. Problem was that after 20 or so mins of being utterly on the back foot (apart from Jack's monstrous throws) we had settled in and were looking like we could cope in the land of the giants. The sending-off enlivened their crowd ... though it was utterly legit. By the time we conceded after allowing Baptiste to mark a forward a foot taller I had a strange idea that we might survive and maybe nick a winner. Second half ... lots of huff and puff but a good day in Bristol apart from the result. As for Ollie's exclamations - who picks the side?
