And know it looks like Leeds are interested, they will pay the money can see him going for 20 million plus now.
Yep. Eze’s goal last night was massive- puts him firmly in the shop window with plenty of managers watching and going into the summer break he’ll be front of mind for any clubs looking for a creative no. 10.
Had quite a few messages from Spurs, Arsenal and West Ham supporting mates about the goal which shows the reach it had.
I’ll be gutted to see him go but we couldn’t have asked for more from Eze including the goodbye gift last night. Thanks for the memories and hope he goes on to play at the top level.

If Hull can get £22m for Jarod Bowen who is a very good effective player but he doesn’t have the touch of genius that Eze does. We must get that at a minimum
Sane has gone this summer for £55m. Werner for £48m
Premier league teams will still receive about £1.7 billion next season in TV money. Relegation is even more terrifying for chairman who have players on 3-5 year deals on pre-Covid contracts. So the difference makers like Eze gain value not lose it
As good a coach as Ramsey is and as good a player Ferdinand was I don’t think they are exactly the finest macroeconomic thinkers. Listening to them on the Podcast was painful as they misunderstand things that are crucial to our club’s future
Eze leaving for less than £25m will be a disgrace. Last night he proved he is a player that can make the difference between getting another slice of the monster Prem TV deals or not

Great way to finish off in his likely final game

Hoos will lead on the macroeconomic points of Finance, including arrangements on transfers. He seems to have a bit of experience in the field, so I think we can leave it to him to manage.
Ramsey and Ferdinand seem to have delivered pretty well on each of their roles, neither of which are required to have a grasp of the finer points of macro-economic theory.
All in all, the QPR management team seem to be producing minor miracles in exceptionally difficult circumstances.
Never knowingly understood

If that’s how Eze has signed off on his journey with us, then I’ll take it and wish him all the best in the future. What a talent and thanks for the memories!

I thought it was Ferdinand who's remit was our transfer policy. What is Ferdinands role in relation to transfers then?
I thought Hoos might oversee the technical details but I didn't think he would be the one setting the price.
I agree the club has been making great strides. And I’m a big fan of Warburton. But now we've got to the crucial point, can the club move forward and progress. We need to do what Brentford and even Hull (with Bowen) did. Get what the star players are worth
If what's been reported is true and we actually accepted the bid of less than £5m for BOS then that seems daft as there is no possibility of a Jordan Hugill type scenario where behind the scenes it looked like he might come to us for £1m but then went to West Ham for £8m. We've already set the price ceiling. Now that BOS it seems has turned down the Belgium side it is more likely we will get their offer or less only
Noises from the club, Warburton included seem to think the market has dropped. I think the likes of Grant Hall will find that to be correct but the elite players, those that really make a difference like Eze I believe their value has not dropped because of all this. They need that TV money and merchandise money that the top clubs get more than ever now.
Only going off the press, so hope that's misleading but recent suggestions we will accept well south of £20m
Really hope that's not correct and whoever it is in charge of our transfers be it Ferdinand it Hoos, recognise that the elite players of which Eze is one, value hasn't dropped. Last nights special goal emphasises his value

Ok, so now you're WUMMing about football as well....
Ignore button for you.
"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."
If you are specifically referring to the fee we negotiate on one player versus what they did in a different climate, fine. But surely with your own understanding of macroeconomics you’ll understand there are different market forces at play now to then, so it’s a bit difficult to compare?
As for what fee the club will accept, you don’t know, just like all of us. Maybe wait for it to happen before being critical about something that hasn’t happened?
And would you mind giving this whole “I’m very intelligent; you lot don’t get it; Ferdinand doesn’t understand economics, etc” thing a rest? I’m sure you’ve studied and done well on a course, maybe even a degree, but all your posts reek of a late teen/early 20s kid who hugely overestimates his own intelligence and knowledge and thinks he’s talking to a group of knuckle staggers. I’m sure you are smart. But there are lots of smart people on this board, many in senior, high paying roles in business. It’s possible they might be more intelligent or know more than you on a number of topics. Over the 20+ years i’ve been on this board (in its various guises) i’ve been astounded at the level of knowledge apparent from across the board’s community on a range of topics. It doesn’t mean I agree with them all the time (far from it!) but you’ve just joined, so rein it in a bit.
