On the money. Great heading too!

Yes, as I said to Brian Mc on another thread, my internet died at 8.40pm.

'Normally' I would be cursing everyone from the laptop provider to TalkTalk, but I found Location, Location, Location rather relaxing and anyway after that first half, as you say, I wasn't thinking 'Damn, going to miss an absolute feast of football now"!

Of course just to keep my heart on its toes I did have to check the score every now and then!

On a more serious note - agree about the lack of subs - especially in relation to the 'relentless schedule'

Yes I see the point about not chucking on the 'kids' or over exposing them for the sake of it but the bench of 9 isn't ever made up of just U23s!

As I said a few weeks ago, this 5 from 9 subs thing is bolox. Guardiola moaning about it with an enormous £2bn squad the week after only making one sub in a game. Warburton carrying on and on about the relentless schedule then only making two changes last night. Football likes an excuse sometimes.

Guardiola made no subs last weekend, killing my fantasy team not bringing on Foden against Fulham at home

The giving the ball away from our own throw ins is nothing new for Rangers.

Long before your time, even the Jago/Sexton team were superb at doing so. It was always when I was most concerned that we would concede!

Great report as always thank you and going off the highlights its frustrating to see 2 points tossed away.We should have banged in 3 at least and their goal avoidable rubbish .
When we hit crunch time late Spring I hope those wont kill us

Unusual for me to disagree with you Clive but I feel you are being over generous to the referee

The BOS to Chair move, the ball was clearly not all out, albeit more down to his assistant and he missed the Dickie handy incident and the Ball incident on the edge of the area as well. That's two big decisions that Millwall could feel agrieved about. Additionally in the first half he penalised Dykes, amongst others, for every physical challenge he made. He did get better as the game went on though and I would have thought a 6 more appropriate.

On the Rrrrs, that was a great understanding between Chair and Carroll for the goal, a brilliant return pass from Tom following good movement from Ilias.

A lot of criticism of the subs and it was a bit messy towards the end but fatigue is a major factor, tired players get injured towards the end of games, and we need the creativity of Carroll and Chair fit and ready for Saturday. I do take your point about why only two subs but it is difficult to get players into the game, as we saw, when you are not wanting to change shape or upset the balance and we are not blessed with experienced options either. Hopefully, we are learning as we go along.

I like Ball's enthusiasm and he does play well at times but he is wild and inconsistent as well as limited ability wise and really should be a back up player.

Now watched the 2nd half. Thought ref did OK - yes a couple of possible pull backs.

Trouble at the moment is players going down under the slightest contact for these type of challenges - would have loved to see the furore on here if either one of those HAD been given.

Ref tried to let the game flow so I can't let Nick London get away with criticising the referee for 'taking so long to make a decision' - he's waiting for a possible advantage, which is what you're supposed to do whenever possible.

He did seem to play on for longer than most. A bit more like a rugby referee. I think that's a good thing but it's not the norm.

Yep, that's a fair point.

If, as seems likely, he ends up in the Prem, they will 'correct' that I'm sure!

This obsession with Nick London is getting a bit weird mate.

I haven't mentioned him for ages!

I don't mind criticism of referees but not when its just plain wrong and unjustified.

Referees make mistakes, like commentators - Kelman/Thomas anyone? - but I'm afraid he just comes out with some absolute nonsense about decisions at times, unlike Andy, who when he disagrees with a decision its usually based within the laws of the game!

Finally as I've said before, its not just him, ask Mrs PP!

While you're on, that Andy Hall 2nd yellow for Ben Watson was THE most ridiculous thing I've ever seen - not sure I've ever seen anyone cautioned for that before or since!

Its a bit like the Wells penalty miss for you, some injustices just never leave you do they?!

PS Just remembered your 150 word blast for Sky's 'poor' commenatator!
