U23s v Charlton 12:33 - Mar 29 with 2890 viewsNorthernr

On the dreaded Recast at 1pm.

Bettache starts. Flaherty the new ex Newcastle and Arsenal lad from the QPR family first chance to see him. And Ajose who Hall was raving about in our interview with him.

Charlton have a senior in there, Forster Caskey. And I'm lazily assuming the striker is son of former Rumbellows Cup legend, and briefly QPR, Carl Leaburn.

I’m keeping an eye on Arkell Jude-Boyd as I coached him in the Under 10s. He was a physically powerful player then but also showed promise for his game understanding and being psychologically well adjusted.

We also had some ex-pro’s sons who were definitely involved in the academy because of who their Dad is. Let’s just say that not all pro players sons are as capable as the Darnell Furlongs of this world!

Well there's an Agyemang on their bench as well. He'll do well to be less able than his dad if that's a connection there.

Didn't one of them score a hatrick in the last U23 game?

Surely Terrell Agyemang is a great Football Manager regen name mixing Terrell Forbes and Patrick Agyemang?

I don't think I've ever come across a Terrell since those days of Terrell Forbes playing for us.

I see 250 Recast Bit-Credits are required for this. Isn't there a cap of 90? So does that mean you can only watch it by topping up your wallet with Earth-cash?

I spent half an hour before the game watching multiple 30 second adverts at 5c a time.

It's actually quite a decent a game so far. Ajose is indeed impressing, though he always wants to cut in from the right so far rather than take a guy down the line to the byline.

I might make the last 10 minutes at this rate, unless I can drag in a couple of dog walkers from outside

2-0 down. Two goals in two minutes. Both the same, QPR with all the ball and all the men in the Charlton half, they win it back, two passes later their giant striker Leaburn strides through one on one and finishes very coolly.

Charlton are like watching Barnsley on speed. Mega high press not getting us a second on the ball and they’re quick and then effective on the break. We’re a bit over complicated at times. Not moving the ball quickly enough.

3-0 final score. Red card and a penalty given away.

Clearly mirroring first team, which is good, but loads of clever and not so clever passing leading nowhere. Interesting that they almost never deliver a free kick into the box even from good positions. Disappointed in Alfie Lloyd. Rafferty Peddar looks good. Also the keeper. I think Bettache is on his last legs. Shame.

Trialists any good?

Poll: Now it’s slightly clearer cut who do you want as manager ?
