| Beale on Tonight on 23:31 - Oct 4 with 2471 views | queensparker | I get the impression from that we’ve got a few crocks to deal with, seemed a bit more stressed than usual. Fair play to Mick, and fair play to the club for finding him, he’s been a brilliant appointment | | | |
| Beale on Tonight on 03:31 - Oct 5 with 2244 views | karlski | It’s impossible not to like him isn’t it? Open (as much as you can be as a manager), sensible, and you really feel he gets the game from all angles - players, staff, clubs, and fans. | | | |
| Beale on Tonight on 06:34 - Oct 5 with 2112 views | Antti_Heinola | He is so, so good. I really loved Warbs, but this guy is another level. I've been thinking for a few weeks he won't be hear more than 2 years - I am now starting to think we have a Potter at Swansea situation on our hands and he's unlikely to be here next season. So best to enjoy him now! | |

Must be frustrating to lose Chris. It's not just that he's our top goalscorer, it's also that he's scored really important goals. That and he occupies at least two of our opponent's players for most of the game, giving space to other players. I agree he's a bit more snippy than usual. It's a really important week for him, he's been away twice in a few days with no recovery time and then he's got to try to do it all again on Friday. Lots of balls to keep in the air, recovery, planning, having to bring people in a bit quicker than he might like. As Antti says we're going to be lucky to still have him next season. It's been an inspired appointment.

I think also Nick London has that approach of starting a question with "How good is/was...."? He's talked about his reasons for it on a podcast at one point but it's not for everyone I'm sure. Beale is so driven and eager to get on to Friday I thought he looked like he just didn't quite have the patience for it.
| Beale on Tonight on 09:35 - Oct 5 with 1718 views | bosh67 | He's brilliant on camera, isn't he. Everything he says, good or bad about how we've played is spot on. As on another thread I was concerned when we let Warburton go because I liked what he always tried to do in terms of being on the front foot, but Beale seems to be a real step up in terms of intensity, knowledge and game management. Back to back wins against high flying teams above us on the road over 3 days is mighty impressive. Turn it on against Reading and score at the Loft End and we really will be flying. Main thing also though is to arrest the habit of then losing to lower teams. I have a lot of confidence in Mick. I feel strangely calm with him in charge. | |

Its the Championship though isn't it? Sheff Utd, must have thought 2 home games coming up - 4pts min, should get 6 - just like we did earlier in the season and they like us ended up with 1. Injuries - listening to their list that Nick read out pre KO, we are very lucky at the moment. Sounds like they lost two more last night as well. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

They were able to bring on a striker who cost them 25million so I won't shed any tears for them

Didn't do them much good though did it? I made it about 12 players with the two that went off last night - that's a lot for any side to cope with. Blimey if that was, we would have a 12 page thread about it! ;-) As we, and many other clubs know, parachute payments and loads of players on PL wages, does not automatically a Championship winning side make!
