Manager did praise our defending and also said he thought they'd played well. I'd take both those as compliments tbf.
Unfortunate for them being the only team in the championship that suffers from opposition timewasting though. What are the chances?
I must admit to being surprised at only 5 mins added time for the 2nd half because we were wasting a fair amount of time at every goal kick. But he does say that his team played well, and he gave us credit for defending well. We didn’t have players dropping like flies that other teams have done to us though.

Very fair I thought
That scouser going is for the kim Jong Il look.
I went for that look for a fancy dress party a while back. Khaki shirt, Elvis wig, Big O shades, about £15 all in at Shepherds Bush Market (cushion model’s own).

Amazing how little credit people give the opposition these days.
It’s always “we were bad” and never “they were good”.
Always remember that was a feature of the Warnock season, every single team moaning we were lucky.
I think that's natural though. As a manager you focus on what you can do better, what you did poorly and what you did well, and look at how you can improve your team. It would be a very Harry Redknapp response to say, "well, they're a good team, what can you do? Just got to admire the quality".

He has a point though and is spot on. It is absolutely rife in this league and, because the "authorities" have done what they usually do - high degree of bluster with no actual action, it's a case of "if you can't beat them, join them". Interesting as well that he says it's up to his team to constantly remind the officials...
As I always say when it happens at HQ, the way you stop it is to get the first couple of goals. Get in front and it doesn't happen so often.
If an oppo behaved like we did last night, we'd be mightily peeved.
It'll be interesting to see how "holier than thou" he'll be if they are one up with 20 to play at the reverse fixture...
The pen would have been incredibly soft, but Dozzell did give the ref a decision to make, which could easily have gone the other way.
And I don't actually think he was that bitter about things to be honest...
He was no different to Nigel Pearson in terms of gifting goals comments. Pearson failed to state that his side were lucky not to be four down by half time and recognising our good play. The Sheffield manager covered a full itinerary of excuses but I think the real reason for his reaction is the reality that his side have picked up only one point in two home games with skint clubs which is unacceptable for a team at the top with parachute money.

I thought he started of quite complementary about us but then spiraled down in a depressing manner. Tbh, I didn't think our shithousery was that bad, although Seny was slow early on, and when Jimmy got booked it was because Seny couldn't take the kicks anymore.
I'll have to look at CW's goal again as I didn't spot a deflection and yes we can all see AD pulling the shirt but we can also see the opponent giving as good as he gets and who knows which was responsible for him falling awkwardly.

And an entirely predictable response from the losing manager.
TBF its a lot better than some would have said.
He DID say we defended very well 2nd half.
My big gripe is when interviewer said about the so called time wasting "I suppose its the same for everyone" He implied it was only at Sheff Utd that teams did that!
1) See nearly every home match at LR and
2) Sheff Utd 1-0 up away from home to a top 6 side, or any side really , and they go all out for the 2nd with no "game management" ?- Yeah right!
