I think that horse is well and truly dead now but you go ahead and keep flogging it for a while longer.

Not really - I'm just interested in differences of opinion, whoever holds them and to whatever degree, which you're obviously not, like a number of the conformist cultists on this board. For the record, I think both one and two options have merit.

To be fair to SE he is giving everyone the chance to demonstrate how he might be in the minority here.

So you're looking to identify who are "cultist conformists" and who are anarchists? Interesting.

Rather that than being in the self-satisified/supercilious majority who mostly can't even construct credible counter-arguments.

Didn't say that, and not really. Here's something that may amaze you if you can stop persecuting me for a moment: I put up a poll because I was interested in the poll. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

LET IT GO.

You are in a minority. We all know your position. Virtually no one agrees with it.

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it

You're the guy who won't let it go. I put up a poll. Vote in it or not, as you wish. Just get off your angry high horse for a moment and take a chill pill (while I'm looking for mine).

I think it's fair from other posts that most people thought the board unlucky that Beale turned out to be a tw*t. The voting here just reinforces that.
I think you just like to try and wind people up and cause conflict which is a shame as some points you make have merit.
Before firing off replies can i ask you take 5 minutes and read what you have written before sending it. Same goes to people replying to you. I think everyone would get along a lot better then.

In your opinion, when someone does put a question back to you that you don't like you just ignore it in your next post. You did it yet again, when Wilkinswatercarrier wrote 'doesn't that break employment law?' in the betting odds thread.

You whinge on about others not putting up a credible argument and being rude you go and post this!
Beggars belief really.
I don’t put you on ignore because you actually make me laugh but I will point out you were the reason I left another QPR message board.

This isn't the House of Lords. I give my view, people can take it or leave it, but a lot of the time I don't bother responding if I'm patronised/belittled/deliberately misconstrued, so maybe have a think about 'beggaring belief' goes two ways. If you have a problem with that, so be it. As for your leaving another board on my account, I've no real idea what you're talking about, but what a lot of power to give one person! Why not be braver and fight your corner, take up another hobby, or just cultivate une belle indifference?

My question regarding employment law was either patronising, belittling or deliberately misconstrued? Not sure how.
FYI you cant prevent anyone leaving a job, that is against employment law, hence a release fee. Which is what the club did.

Yes, sorry, you were bucking the trend.

I am not an expert on employment law, so didn't try to talk out of my arse, and my proposals were a fan's sketches, not juridical/legal parameters. It seems weird, though, that I'm told they're not 'practical' in one direction, while someone else opines anyone can put anything in a contract. But if you look for coherence on a football fan board, you'll be looking to the end of time.

No one here knows very much about anything that happens at QPR - it's mostly at best just hearsay and rumour. F*ck - even now, people don't know what Evil Les does. It makes everyone's opinions mostly a form of passing the time or friendly/fractious entertainment, which is the main point (for me at least). Provocations and polemics really bring out people's true colours, though, and one learns a lot about the human condition and its pettiness, nastiness, and scapegoating mechanisms, which helps me a lot in my philosophical life and gives me a certain sad happiness.

Thanks for your view, but I would say I'm as much wound-up as winder.

As to the poll, I think you've just articulated a perfect description of what a poll is for, right?

What I find both hilarious and disturbing is how unbearable it is to some to tolerate minority viewpoints, whether well-argued, badly argued, or unargued. The smugness of mainstream anything is what's really insufferable.

You need to take a break, Stainrod, seriously.

You can choose to do what you want with that advice, I know, but you seriously do need to go away, take a break, do something non board related for a day or two and generally calm down.

Look, SE, you're distracting people from the points you wish to make by hurling categorisations, often mildly insulting categorisations, at the posters you disagree with.

Just write that you disagree with them and say why, calmly and without trying to pigeonhole posters and imply that they are part of some faction which has been created behind the scenes.

There's no need for this "conformist cultists" stuff, it's making posters focus on what you have called them rather than the point(s) you are so passionately making.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
