OUR CLUB on 23:25 - Mar 6 with 1955 views | PunteR | It's just a ridiculous situation. And what is frustrating is that a lot of fans been calling this out for years on here but got spoke down to by so called more pragmatic and sensible posters who are more ITK. Of course there's nothing us fans can actually do about it apart from argue with each other and sit here and watch it unravel.

OUR CLUB on 07:19 - Mar 7 with 1728 views | DWQPR | Reading SimonD’s report last night it seems likely that within the next couple of years there will be quite a few clubs that will fall foul of FFP which will either see a sudden drop in what clubs are prepared to pay players and more so this will further reduce the value of players in relation to transfer fees. With a reduced quality within the league, which this will lead to will see a reduction in revenue from crowds, advertising and sponsorship. Why the hell cannot the EFL realise that they are bringing their own competition to its knees. Utter madness. And to have different rules governing different leagues belies belief. When will they learn that having FFP does not prevent a club going bust at all especially given that the rules encourage an annual overspend of £13million a year in the hope of reaching the promised land (PL). What it does as we’ve seen it panics clubs into a huge gamble as seen by the likes of Villa (Gamble paid off), Reading, Derby and SheffW (all failed), and where one owner decided to bail out which almost killed the club. Maybe it is about time that the championship clubs threatened to breakaway, encourage the Leagues 1 & 2 clubs to follow and form their own competition which might help bring the EFL into realising their rules are so destructive.
