Pompey away 13:03 - Dec 18 with 1023 viewskingsburyR

As a family we are thinking about Pompey away.

If I click 4 tickets I can only choose standing. For those that have been before would that suit two girls 12 and 15 view wise?

Thanks in advance.

KR

Dont know why we bother. .... but we do!

We got seats last season, but everyone stood up, so it didn't make any difference.

I suspect she'll be fine at 5 foot.

I've taken my girls to many grounds when they were much shorter than that.

You might need to duck and weave to find a decent spot.

Got tickets for 4 of us, but a bit concerned about transport now as M27 is closed from 24 Dec and already warnings of delays caused by big diversions to A27 around Fareham area. We'll be going cross-country I guess as it doesn't look like there's any trains from Eastleigh either?

Should be fine , its prob the worst away game in the div , zero room at half time hows its got a safety certificate ill never know .

as everyone will be driving and it being boxing day might be an idea to pre book parking if you can . local side stretts might be full as people havent gone out or might be empty , its a tough one to call

i got parked right outside the ground last time, murder getting away though, that bloody M27 has had road closures since the bloody thing was opened, If I remember rightly the seating Is a bit of a free for all.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

M27 closed junction 9 to 11 from December 24th to January 5th, putting a new bridge in at junction 10.
Been roadworks on it for about 8 years now!

Was absolutely packed in the away end last season, will be interesting to see if we take similar numbers this time round.

But yeah unless you get there really early don't expect to be in the "seats" that are on your ticket, and most likely you'll be standing the whole game too.

my opinion, great atmosphere at pompey but a dump and dangerous away end, crammed, small concourse ,very awkward to get thru to bogs and all that. easy to get to though.

That’s how most teams describe the away end at Loftus Road!

I’d say the school end is luxury compared to Portsmouth ,and I’d stick watford in that group as well until this season when they finally opened the gates at half time to let people out and give space on the concourse under the seats . Porttsmouth was downright dangerous at half time last season.

Some of the rows are out of sync with the rest of the stand. We stood near the front last season and we were next to two odd seats in row s and we’re in front of two from row j.I didn’t know it was that hard to put seats in the proper order.

As has been mentioned many times, QPR don't do away games on Boxing Day, a tradition dating back to the year after England won the world cup. I would stay at home in the warm and enjoy a family Christmas 🎄

If possible use the A3 to get down. I’ve been sharing my time between MK and the Fareham area for much of the last couple of years now and the motorways have been a real nightmare. First there was M3 widening from the A34 junction to the M27 junction on the M3. Once this was completed they decided to overlay the existing concrete surface between junctions 5 and 7 on the M27 which is now near completion and now thus is finished they are rebuilding the A34/M3 junction.

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview
