The coefficient means that it is going to be the top 4 (as usual) plus another 1 due to English teams' performance in the comp, so top 5. However, if we get an English Europa League winner, that'll be 6.
Their form is cratering and they have a real chance of missing European football altogether.

As I understand it Chelsea could qualify for CL in 6th place If Villa win the Europa League and finish 5th. However, if Villa finish in the top 4 and win the Europa League England essentially forfeits its Europa League winner’s CL spot snd only 5 English teams will be in CL. No other scenario can Chelsea finish 6th and qualify for CL. [Post edited 19 Apr 11:05]

Their next match is interesting-away against Brighton. Lose that and they go below Brighton who have a run in after that of Newcastle away. Wolves at home, Leeds away and Man United at home so have a chance to pick up points. Bournemouth have Leeds at home, Palace (H), Fulham (A), Man City (H) and Forest (A).
