Good report - fair, if difficult to read about our (very occasionally) great club.
The players didn't seem to be arsed about last night, so I can't be arsed about going on Saturday.

Fair play to the box office though - I emailed them this morning saying I could no longer be bothered to attend and they have cancelled my ticket and issued a full refund. I would have thought that's my problem and not theirs but fair play.

I guess I'll be back next season, Full of optimism for a while (at least until kick off of the first game).

Thanks to all on here for making this such a great place to spend time.

Cheers Clive (you are nearly there). Guess the season is petering out, but overall I feel it is more successful than the previous one, even if the net gain is only 2 points. We have spent the vast majority of the season looking up towards the play-offs, rather than over our shoulder at the relegation places.
No doubt, injuries - in part- have fuxed over our season . But that is only part of the problem. I go back to my ‘you know in the first five minutes which QPR have turned up’ mantra. The ‘can’t be arsed’ attitude that successive managers have failed to root out, will always be an anchor to hold back our progress. The rigidity of our formation is on JS and needs to be addressed. We are too predictable and too easy to play against. In fairness to Marti, he could be pragmatic when needed to be, (I remember playing four CB’s at Swansea 2 years ago and getting a result) Stephane needs to learn to be more flexible.
Several players are not good enough, my views on Walsh are well documented, but whether you agree with me or not, both FB positions and ESPECIALLY midfield has to be addressed this summer. A big step in the right direction would be to reintegrate Field back into the squad, but I have doubts that will happen. So a defensive and attacking mid-fielder needed as a priority. This could be part funded by off-loading Varane and Saito. Then get the squad fully fit over the summer and hit the ground running .

Quite a sad way to bow out for Steve. I hope that if they really want to retain his services that perhaps he gets once more chance in front of a larger crowd with a better performance, but I somehow doubt that.

Last 5 minutes on as a sub would do the job - just in case anyone is listening…..

A pretty depressing night all round .

I know this is the time to try new things etc etc but it must also be for Swansea and Bristol City but they seem to be able to do that and still compete heartily in the remaining games. Daren't think what the score would have been if we had been at Southampton instead, certainly not City's hard-fought draw.

Yet again, the general malaise is so frustrating and standards are lower at QPR than everywhere else.

Spot on Clive especially the getting overrun in midfield. The only way we can get 3 in midfield and keep 2 strikers on the pitch is going to a 3,5,2 with wingbacks. I'm very surprised we have not tried that formation especially in these dead rubber games.

Anyway what do I know - See you all Saturday and I'm sure John Eustice will have them fired up especially after their drubbing here last season in his first game in charge.

I really like the two strikers, particularly when it's Kone and Burrell - not many better pairings than that outside the parachute payment clubs.

But there have been so many times this season where it's really clear the midfield is getting overrun, and we don't do anything about it.

When we play 2 up front, Kone is the key as we've had good performances with Kone partnered with either Burrell and Kolli but I haven't seen any evidence yet that Burrell and Kolli together is a good partnership.

I felt sorry for Cook and the supporters that made the extra effort to attend.

Andy Sinton is one of the nicest people in football, but even he couldn’t hide his frustration at how many times we gave the ball away cheaply and how easy it was to play through us.

I had a massive pitch meeting at work on Tuesday, a month + of work, pressure given to me to be the star of the show. We absolutely crushed it, finished at 1:30, so I departed to the boozer with the company card and set off in a tidal wave of neck oil.

About 4:30 one of my team reminded me of the tube strike (I cycle in most days) and I realised I had no idea how I was going to make it to the game. So around 5:30, a little worse for wear, I set off on a lime bike from Southwark.

Unfortunately everyone else in London had had the same idea. Every cycle path and road was gridlocked. It's a 40 minute cycle; it took me an hour and 20. Holland Park Avenue was completely gridlocked, so I was basically having to weave between cars and pray.

Managed an exhale and a quick leveller in the White Horse before sprinting into the ground.

And then we conceded *that* goal inside of 3 minutes. And I just burst out laughing. It was objectively one of the funniest things that had ever happened to me

Really was an odd game; as you say Swansea much more up for it than us, deserved to win it on effort alone. But if not for the blind ref it would have finished 1-1 and we'd all shrug our shoulders and move on.

Watched the highlights and actually we had more attempts on goal than I thought.

Great analysis as always, we were certainly at the same game.

Ronnie's diags, a match long fusilade, were masterful but how often does your heart have to sink watching the intended recipient backaway from the pitch of the ball to watch it sail over his head or strike him on the chin. Simple stuff.

Poor Kealey A tested out a radical idea in the first few minutes - passing forward. They didn't come off, no one in a hooped shirt was interested in any 50-50 contest or retrieving a misplaced pass but rather than applaud the adventure, he got baracked. Someone behind me in T Block even swore. No wonder he reverted threafter to the tamest most cautious back passes and learned nothing.

I forgot, influencers were they? I had no [f word] idea what the [unacceptable language] that pile of embarrasment at half time was about and I'm pretty sure Morissey didn't either. Something about them spending a year receiving chunks of cash to see if the could fake it as professional footballers? Then the utter cluelessness of the two muppets not sure what to do faced with a football, a row of poles and three nets beyond them. Bring back the under 10s touchline relay!

From feast to famine, normally every few games.

There have been improvements this season but the two man midfield leaves us so open against the better sides like Boro, Ipswich and Southampton - and it's not as if we have any quality midfielders apart from Madsen. I have a lot of time for Morgan but he is still very green, I've never been convinced by Varane and Hayden has been disappointing for the most part.

We all agree where improvements need to be made and if we can get an experienced goalkeeper, a decent left back like Amass and midfielder like that bloke at Oxford we could do well next season.

Anyway, bring on Derby County and the Crown & Sceptre...

I just watched the full 90. Got to give some positive comment on Tylon Smith. Apart from his costly challenge he seemed to slot into the back 4 with confidence and looked quite comfortable there. He seemed tactically aware, quick, got forward well and hit some decent long balls at the end there. Hope he's learned a bit about when he can't make challenges like that in the Championship, and about Championship referees.

Harsh. It was the most unnecessarily cautious performance of all time. If you’re given a rare opportunity, try to grab it, not stand there all night being available and passing backwards every time the ball comes to you.
