Not sure he was better than Trip and Kane, but it was his best game for us. Very solid and very smart to cool the younger players down.

I thought the only players who played above average were Pickford, Trippier (excellent), Maguire, Mohito, Davison Sánchez and my MOTM Mina.
England, without being great, deserved the win. Colombia missed Rodriguez, played well in patches and lost their heads. England kept theirs and I'm glad they won.
Sweden are poor. England should win that. They look tired, but focused and cool. |  |

Is it me or are a lot of those niggling traits you expect in an England squad slowly being eradicated? We attack, theres goals in this team, you can see the players give a toss for the shirt and for each other, theres a manager who clearly has an actual plan, we won a game of penalties, we make risky decision now....nobody is bigger than the squad!! | |

Don’t want to dwell on it tonight but Stirling and Young were poor again going forward as was Alli. Young at least didn’t allow Cuadrado to do much which is his first job.
