It confirms their view of entitlement. It says everything about what is wrong in the US. It’s ok to shoot and kill African Americans, but when a white middle-class American riots and storms the Capitol, their view is the law should treat them differently. With an estimated population of 600,000 that $500m figure works out to around $8,300 each.
