Tonight's games 17:00 - Feb 2 with 6458 viewsLongsufferingR

After last night's superb result, I thought about what I would prefer to happen in tonight's fixtures:

Wall v Norwich - not bothered
Bmouth v Wednesday - meh
Cov v Forest - whatever
Rotherham v Derby - couldn't care less
Wycombe v Brum - what time is the news on?

So'ton have managed another 9-0 loss now in successive seasons. Inexplicable

The homage to Diakite 'challenge' in the 2nd minute didn't help!

Blimey, that was worth 3 red cards on its own!

Bournemouth manager sacked.

which makes Shane Long's move there even more bizarre.

Went on and on on MOTD about Southampton's lack of players but then they offload Long on deadline day and now to a club with no manager!

Football eh?!

Rotherham Derby rearranged for tonight. Rotherham win would make things interesting for Brum!

Stop scoring Ryan Giles you're hurting my feelings.

Been saying it for a while. I think you’ll need 52/53 to stay up this year. Wycombe apart, everyone up to 7th is a much of a muchness and can beat each other on any given day. That leads to a bunched league, which means higher points tally to survive and lower to break the play offs.

On top of that, the second half of the season always sees the bottom 6-8 pick up more PPG than they were and the teams in mid table because they have something to play for.

Definitely getting tight. Everyone from Luton down, looking over their shoulder. I know it was a very impressive win on Monday night, but it would have been more beneficial to have beaten Derby than Watford. Stupid, stupid game to lose.

Losing to Derby wasn't clever but we are on a bad run of form at home. I would feel better about our situation if we could start scoring and winning at home. As good as we were at Watford we now face our jinx team next at home. I always feel uneasy about this fixture, where we make hard work of it, the home meeting last season excepted.

It’s why our Blackburn and Rotherham games are so important because we follow with Brentford and a Bournemouth likely to have a new manager in situ.

If we go into those latter two without a win, we’ll be right in it.

Whilst I am fretting about our home form so too are Scousers with Liverpool not scoring for three in a row at Anfield and losing two of them.

No doubt the loss of fans is playing a big factor as to why there are so many away wins this season.

All 5 premier league games tonight were won by the away team

Bournemouth could have quite an impact on the relegation contenders in February as they're playing Birmingham, Forest, Rotherham and Cardiff in February as well as us.

Like the positive spin there,

"Down there" as opposed to "down here".

Good Work!

Can we go out yet?

it's so tight, 4 points off the bottom 3 (they still have a game in hand) and 3 points off 13th. We are a long way from safe. Saturday is another big one for us

Second bit of positive spin, if (big if) we’d played and beaten Wycombe when we should have done the other week we’d now be above Cardiff, Millwall, Huddersfield and Luton.

I'm looking at the teams just above us more than those below.
