Running alongside Dutch's 'Erberts thread doesn't it strike you that our away following is, en masse, comprised of, per capita, the largest amount of heavy drinkers around?
Certainly, if there were a drinking Champions League being drawn against teams from Glasgow, Berlin, Warsaw and Moscow would result in an alcoholocaust?
Ashamed or proud? Or too pis sed to care?

In drinking stakes, QPR don't hold a candle to the Scotland away support.

They start drinking (heavily) on the Friday and are still hard at it on Sunday.

When I went to the Scotland Brazil friendly in the Emirates in 2011 we drank the place before the end of half time.

And this is despite the fact that thousands and thousands were walking around with carrier bags rammed with tinnies five hours before kickoff and had filled all the pubs with in a half mile radius.

QPR away are rank amateurs compared to my lot when it comes to drinking.

Went to Everton v Lille in 2014 for their Europa League tie. Mate of mine is a toffee and had a spare ticket and hotel booked so thought, why not.

The Eurostar we got was 8am and a bunch of Everton fans were sat around a table in the buffet cart polishing a litre bottle of Jack Daniels at 8 in the morning. The game didn't start until 7:45pm.

Lille Town Square was occupied by Blue. People just buying up crates of beer and pissing where they liked. By late afternoon the Police had turned up and it all kicked off. Luckily we found a decent bar away from all that. Terrible game, ended 0-0.

Or most rugby fans either.I’ve been on a few England away trips to Rome and Paris, and our lot would lose in a drinking contest, without all the boorish behaviour we saw on Saturday either.

...and right there is the proudest claim of the Scottish nation.

The no.1 export nation for Buckfast Wine from Devon, cheap, potent alcopop.

Pretty good with heroin too (allegedly)...

Well done!

Can we go out yet?

Being on the coach driving around and around Manchester at about 11.30pm at night trying to find a bloody off license instead of heading towards the bloody M6.

When your sober and been 'on the wagon' for years and on a coach full of pissed up nutters, and just watched your beloved team lose to that lot at old trafford?

Oh what joy

"I'll say goodbye to love"

Lee bastard Sharpe.

Move down the bus.

I'll have a swift half.

Are we there yet?

Put the kettle on Polly.

I was at an Ireland v Cyprus game in Nicosia. If you want big drinking, that's big drinking. I'll drink 20 pints of cooking strength lager a day and still be coherent but I struggled that week

If you see a QPR shirt in the home end that's me.

On the other hand, New Years Day 1992. Wanted to spend all night in Manchester, be a pissed up nutter and got told by my car mates that they both had to get back for work next morning.

You know who you are.

And yet, ask any european police force or FA who they would rather host and i would wager they would chose Scotland over England every time

When the clubs don't serve alcohol at the ground in Scotland you kinda get the feeling there's a problem.
Only been to Celtic mind you.
