Barnsley aren't relegated yet, mathematically at least, as they have a game in hand. So we have the odd situation at the moment where the side in 23rd is relegated, but the one in 24th isn't.

Let's not forget too that Derby have players that I'm sure they acquired by overspending so really they should not be in that mid-table position hence the points deduction to act as a leveler too. Had they not had those players and kept within their means they might have been facing relegation anyway. [Post edited 19 Apr 2022 13:01]

very true about the players and unpaid for transfers but that goes against the "Plucky Derby: narrative so its not going to fly Apparently Nottingham council have proposed renaming the A52 from the M1 junction into the city to Rangers Way

That’s only one season more and one win more than either Bury or Macclesfield and not many gave a stuff about them or even if they both had pretty poor owners they certainly did not get up to the blatant cheating that Morris was up to. Having been reading over the last few months a lot of posts on their message board they are all still almost to a man convinced that the EFL have stitched them up. No sympathy. Fûck ‘em.

Wasn’t Derby’s only win that season (sometime pre 2010) a televised 1-0 win but the Sky cameras failed to capture the goal as they were showing a replay or something. Rob Hulse the scorer?

If they get a 15 point deduction next year can see them dropping to League 2 …given the way the admin is being handled and Morris ownership of the stadium that is a real possibility if they do not meet the efl rules on paying creditors. Can’t see Wayne staying around for that,
