Mixed feelings about this. It did need to go back at some point, that's fair enough.
But the number of teens getting killed in London was, I think, higher than ever last year and that connection between us as a club and the work to do something about it was really important and admirable.
There is that point of diminishing returns in all of these things, so maybe there was collective agreement that it was the right time, no idea. I'd have been more than fine about leaving it for another year though all things considered.

I'm "old school" so it's always been Loftus Road to me. Could we not have a Kiyan Prince stand instead.

I can tell you from first hand experience, the work that the Trust do with young people in Hammersmith & Fulham does not start and end with the KPF. I work with some fantastic Outreach workers employed by the trust, who engage young people involved with the Youth Justice Services and around White City, supporting them with employment, education, involving them in positive activities. It's not something that gets spoken about enough by the club, especially considering these outreach workers work at the same council that Lee Hoos is at war with.

It's a good point RBlock and I have thought the same thing - there is concrete support for that youth justice team from QPR that doesn't seem to get very widely publicised for whatever reason. I suppose I just see the KPF work as complementing that. | | | |
